you do need to load the mod you want to use everytime.
Yes the game will delete items that dont make sense so that will include a non modded game or weapons with parts that dont exist in the mod you load (not everytime but enough you wont want to risk it.)
Some handy tips.
back up your save files.
label characters at the quick change with the mod name.
mixing the bigger content mods is generally a bad idea.
Hoping this will change one day but Exodus is not multiplayer friendly.
I was already planning on doing the nicknaming thing, I was only planning to do one mod at a time, and I tend to play solo anyways since only a couple of my friends play BL2
