There's at least a few to look at.
It's definitely not an item I have a lot of experience with.

Capacitors appear at the top of a shield
Bodies appear on the left-hand side of a shield
Batteries appear at the bottom of a shield
Although the Pangolin battery is identical to the Maliwan battery, you can distinguish between them by the stats on the card. The Pangolin battery will increase the capacity and recharge delay quite a lot, which is noticeable.
Maliwan Capacitors has 3 variants which are all equal in terms of their effects on shield stats, with the main differences being either grounded, inflammable or alkaline (immune to shock, fire or corrosive DoTs respectively). They are often not visible on the shield, but can be identified on the item card.
Unlike every other shield in the game, a Hide of Terra has an extra modifier that affects it. This is not a visible part, but is a stat that affects the Nova Radius and Spike Damage (presumably due to coding limitations they could only code the parts to be associated with Roid damage and Nova damage). The only way to know if you have a perfect part there is to know the maximum value. Technically this doesn't matter much, because the Roid damage is most important, however if you want a truly perfect Hide of Terra, you could be farming for the rest of your life (that's not even an exaggeration).
Edit:

Number 5 on this chart shared by Nakos is perfect, and even has a perfect Nova Radius and Spike Damage for its level. The Nova Radius value is the same as OP10, so look out for that number if you care about Nova Radius and Spike Damage at all, since the hidden stat affects both at the same time.
Yeah I know it could take upwards of 300 literal years of constant farming to get it, that is if RNG feels like it wants to give me what I want. Still, I'mma give it probably 100 hours of 1 minute per farm runs.
