Borderlands 2 Scaling Bug?

So, me and 2 friends started playing true vault hunter mode because we're level 43 and the enemies and loot in normal mode were 35. Simple. So naturally, we expected that it would be higher level on true vault hunter mode. However, all the enemies and loot are still capped at level 35. We've tried doing 2 of the headhunter dlc's and they're still level 35, but then we noticed when either of my friends host... everything bumps up to level 43. Shops, enemies, everything. But when I host or play single player... 35 still.

It is DEFINITELY on true vault hunter mode, so WHY is it not scaling for me but is scaling for them? It's totally breaking the game we can't get any loot worthwhile, or xp for quests. What's going on?

Go to the Select Character menu, pick the character again, and pick TVHM this time. It sounds like you never changed it from Normal, so whenever you host, everything is Normal-capped.

Yeah like I said, I was in TVHM, tested it and the quests were reset too. Clearly mentioned that in the post above, knowing it would be the first thing said, and you STILL mentioned it :v GG

I had the same thing happen. started TVHM at level 42, but the quests were at 35. eventually they caught up to me about the wildlife exploitation quest. No idea why its differenant with your friends, unless they are some other level?

We are all the exact same level. I have a seperate single player file at level 50, and the enemies he's fighting are about level 45. The multiplayer character I have is level 43, same as all of us, but when we go on THEIR files the shops and enemies are level 43-45. On my file? 35. Everything is underlevelled by far.

the enemies and the loot in tvhm are simply 30 lvl above normal. if u want gear and enemies that skale with u u should play uvhm.

The main story will not scale to your level in TVHM.
The DLCs should scale to your level but sometimes they don't. So are the vendors you are checking in a DLC? If so, the DLC has scaled for your friend but not for you.

no idea why it is differeant, unless you accidentally started TVHM early, right after killing the warrior (that is what i did by accident). just starting it and quitting it will set the level. . once set, it is stuck at starting at that level.

Did you do some side quests or DLCs before starting TVHM?

It should/might catch up to you about the wilderness quest.

If that is the case, then their stuff would ALSO be level 30-35, but it isn't, if they host it's 43

When you drop down to Normal mode, is the Talon of God quest completed for you?

Ideally you should try to start TVHM at around 30 or low 30's.
In general that's the sort of level you should be at after the main story line and most of the side quests.
Things get a bit odd if you do too many side quests and or DLC's / Headhunters / farming.
Seems you were a bit too high to go back and start TVHM.
But saying that if all 3 of you were at the same/similar levels it seems strange your game is at odds. Check your finished missions in comparison to theirs.

*as a side note, due to your in-game time I assume you've run through the game in UVHM as well? or is that due to co-op play? and thought you may have had similar issues before.

In The Handsome Collection for Borderlands Its glitched. Now everything is blury. I think it has to something to do with the handsome collection or the Xbox One I play it on

Make your own thread for unrelated questions, don;t hijack this one. Also, seeing as you play on XBox and there is no PC version of "The Handsome Collection", I recommend looking somewhere else for help.

The enemies and quest will only scale on your level in UVHM, not in TVHM.
