Level 51 Gaige Build for UVHM

I'd like to playthrough UVHM solo using Gaige and I've currently got her at level 51. I'm looking for any tips for what skills and trees to spec into that will make surviving UVHM on solo a bit more manageable as I haven't yet been able to do much of anything in UVHM. Any tips are greatly appreciated!

I would use Anarchy, and 5 of the when your mag is full you regain health (its in the left skill tree).

I'll give you some tips. I have an OP8 Gaige. Just take the Anarchy based skills and most of the BFF skills. You want to get for a shield a Sham, for nades the Magic Missiles, for mod you want Legendary Anarchist or Slayer of Terra. Your guns should be a low lvl Logan's Gun, and a Norfleet. This is know as Shamfleet Gaige. With this build you should be able to rekt UVHM alone.

You can do this in TVHM to get lvl 50 gear. For the Sham you can farm the bunker, for the Magic Missile the mages in Tiny Tina's DLC, for the Legendary mod i suggest you to farm Voracidous and for Slayer of Terra... well Terra lol, the Norfleet from Hyperius and Logan's Gun from Whilmhein in Normal mode.

Is hard to get all this gear but believe me if you get all of this you'll be unstopable.

(Voracidous is a raid boss in Hammerlocks Hunting Game DLC and Hyperius is another raid boss from Scarlets DLC)

Thanks for the tips, I already have the Slayer of Terra and I believe I've got a Logan's Gun on my other character around level 50 (does it have to be low level for any specific reason?) but I'll need to get everything else.

A low level Logan's gun + Sham will regen launcher ammo for you. It doesn't matter what the level is, it works the same. The lower level the better - less chance to damage yourself. One of my characters has a level 18 Logan's Gun from farming Willhelm in Normal mode. Works perfectly to regen ammo.

That is if you want to go down the whole ShamFleeting route. Good luck getting the rest of the gear.

One gun the works perfectly with Gaige is the Fibber - get that from from the Real Boy mission in Eridium Blight. Shock is preferable, as is the proper barrel. The Fibber has 3 types of barrel, and only one of which works well. Each bullet splits into 9 when you ricochet the shot off any surface, and each of the 9 bullets gets a full amd damage bonus from thr Bee. Result is that Anarchy Gaige + Close Enough + Fibber + Bee wrecks the place. Somewhat easier to get than farming Hyperius for a Norfleet. Because of the buff from the Bee shield, most of the damage will come from this, not the raw damage from the gun. See the following links, and be prepared to do a lot of Alt-F4ing until you get the right one.
The Redundant version has 2x the damage, but you get through your ammo 2x as fast.

BFF and Rational Anarchist trees are the ones to concentrate on. LBT is not worthwhile for the most part. I have a couple of OP8 Gaiges, one I took there solo and a level 60-something who is in late UVHM playthrough. I can post the builds if you are interested.

I went and got the Fibber already actually and it is the shock variant, though I don't remember the barrel. I guess I really underestimated how big of a role farming plays in wanting to get to the max level.

Once you figure out how the Fibber works and get used to using it, it is a very powerful weapon.
Unfortuantely it is not farmable without some messing around with save files and Claptrap's stash. Barrel type is easily found by shooting it. The best one woll split the bollet into a circular pattern of 9 when you ricochet it off a surface - try shooting at the ground in front of a wall.

Keep an eye out for the Maggie as well. Same idea in that the bullet splits into 6.

I believe that I have the proper barrely then! I noticed a circular pattern on a wall on my way back through an area and stopped to look at it for a bit before I realized what had made it xD

Isn't the Sand Hawk still better than the Fibber in conjunction with the Bee? As it shoots seven bullets for ~2 ammo/shot? Correct me if I'm wrong about that.

The Fibber has more synergy with Anarchy/Close Enough than the Sandhawk.

As z00t said a low lvl Logan's gun will make less damage to your shield. A high lvl one could break your shield and the effect of ammo regen won't work. But since Gaige have the Blood Soaked Shield skill in the Chaos tree is pretty easy to get full shield always.

As far as the Sandhawk goes compared to the Fibber. Have you ever tried to use a Sandhawk with a 350 Anarchy stack? It is laughable. Unusably bad. Instead of the pretty flapping bird you have a random cloud of projectiles. You might hit something, but the spread is so diffuse it won't destroy whatever it was you managed to hit.

Using a low level Loga's Gun is not so much about damage to your shield as damage to you. The Sham will still absorb shots, even as the shield is depleting. Blood Soaked Shield doesn't come into it.
One of my Gaiges found an OP6 Logan's Gun in a Digistruct chest. It was actually dangerous to use with a lower level Sham that she had at the time. A couple of shots at my feet and I had to wait for the shield to recover and the Fire DOT to stop. That just meant a very slow reload of launcher ammo. A low level gun though, just empty the magazine at your feet and you are good to go with launcher ammo. Change back to your usual shield and carry on.
