^This.
I personally would also pick up Converge & Scorn for crowd control and Slag.
My HP went up a lot with restoration, and if I'm going for survivability, shouldn't I use it instead of wreck?
I have no DLC, so what should I get rid of to get converge and scorn?
I'd probably invest in Suspension over Kinectic Reflection since you're using Elated, plus not every enemy uses guns.
If you are playing with Zer0, put a point in Res. You will use it a lot.
Converge is good to have. It puts a lot of enemies into one place, which makes it easier to deal with them.
One thing you may want to consider about Maya in a support role is speccing into damage. If she is destroying enemies, they are not causing problems to her team mates.
Just a thought.
I guess it would depend on whether you're doing solo or co-op play, but ... for Soloing, I'd focus a lot more on damage.
The three key skills for Maya are Cloud Kill, Ruin and Converge. Wreck is also really powerful.
Some folks like Scorn, I'm too fond of the Cataclysm and the Motion trees.
Try something ... like this maybe?

Currently, I think I'm using this at 72 (or something pretty close):

I'll make a general comment with a suggestion for you to consider. BL1 established a speccing protocol very much carried through but even stronger in BL2 - namely, a strong offense is the best defense.
Your current lack of investment in the Cataclysm tree may cause you problems soloing the higher levels of UVHM. In their own way, I consider the highest level Cataclysm skills -- Ruin, Blight Phoenix and Reaper -- invaluable defensive skills particularly at higher levels. And you'll need to start investing now in the Cataclysm tree to unlock those skills by level 72,
At OP8, my heaviest investments are in the Cataclysm tree first, Motion tree second and Harmony tree third. I built my Harmony tree by investing heavily in the lower level skills - Minds Eye etc - and working my way up through Res which is invaluable as support in coop play. As you'll see, you'll easily be able to increase these defensive skills by up to 200% with additions to your inventory of certain higher level mods, relics and shields as you level up.
Turns out I wont be doing co op. What would you change in my build for solo play?
Could you show me a level 50 build and where to start with it?
Yes. Here's a good discussion with some ideas. https://forums.gearboxsoftware.com/t/lv50-builds-for-starting-uvhm/370916/37
This looks good, but I heard that Blight Pheonix is terrible at high levels because you need to be close to enemies for the damage, and they can do as much damage to you. Correct me if I'm wrong about that though.
I had Helios, and the damage was low. Then again, the wiki says the damage is predicted like this "1.6 × R × 1.13L(they mean 1.13 to the power of L), where R is rank in Helios and L is the character's level."
I plan not to be in FFYL so Immolate seems less useful for me. I don't melee often, so backdraft also seems like this.
I like this a bit more http://bl2skills.com/siren.html#450000000050050000005504510501 but I'm a noob compared to you guys. Also, if I'm to get Wreck, which activates on Phaselock, wouldn't it benefit me to have more skills that activate on PL? That would turn PL into a boost, no?
What did you guys use at level 50? At level 25, what did you guys plan to use? Thanks for all the help guys.
Blight Phoenix's only use is to stun melee attackers that get too close. It's worth putting one point in for that reason IMO, but nothing more.
In UVHM, Flicker has less use due to DoTs being weakened by enemy HP regen. You could, however, use it with Moxxi guns for more healing.
I'd still choose Immolate over Helios, you'll probably go down a few times in higher levels and having a damage bonus to get you back up is nice.
If you have trouble staying alive, trade Mind's Eye for Sweet Release.
