Is there a way to skip story missions?
I barely got to the end of the mission, but I had to close it because of lack of time. I thought the locations were saved, but they weren't. Only mission progress were saved.
I DON'T WANT TO START ALL OVER AGAIN. I really hate doing the same thing over and over again.. Is there a way to skip missions?

Well, if you don't like repetition, then this may not be the best game for you.

This is an FPS-ARPG hybrid, repetition is a pretty common element in ARPGs.

Any Fast Travel Location you've been to SHOULD be saved. If they're not saving, then you've got some sort of a bug.

What mission where you attempting? What location didn't save?

(Edit: Mind you, some Fast Travel locations are exit only, but they'll be marked as such)

Skipping the mission would also mean missing out on the quest rewards. Not a good idea in the long run.

The system is a bit weird, but quest progress is only saved between certain points, everything else is just checkpoints in case you die along the way.

Most missions also generally are not all that long, and as Nakos said, repetition is pretty much part of the game.

You CAN skip missions, but only if your character already did them in multiplayer (or is present in MP when that mission is turned in - not 100% sure, but I believe so).

Oh.. it also occurs to me that you may be talking about respawns.

Regular enemies out in the world will respawn eventually. And EVERYTHING (except one or two special bosses) will respawn every time you reload.

That's not a bug or a drawback, for this game, it's considered a feature.

This game works by accepting and completing missions. If you leave the game in mid mission, you will have to start from the beginning again.
For example, at the start, you have to escort Claptrap from Liar's Berg to his ship. On the way you have to fight Boom Bewm, and finally Captain Flynt. You then have to get onto Claptrap's ship and travel to the next map. That completes the mission.
If you saved and exited after defeating Flynt, but before traveling to the next map, you will have to fight through the whole map again.
That is how this game works.
It is not like some other games where you can save your progress and restart from there.

As far as skipping story missions goes, Nope. You can't.

Oh.. I think the Fast Travel machine I used was exit only. That's probably why I was spawned in Sanctuary.. Thanks :)
I hope there were mods that saves the location :P

Uh.. I should only play this game when I have enough time. Thanks anyway :)

Gibbed can mark missions complete and unlock fast travel locations. I'd only use it to skip playthrough 1 and get right down to TVHM.

Isn't it cheating?..

Yep. It is cheating. Why buy a game if you are not going to bother to play it, and just cheat your way to the end? There are far too many people here whose only lame, lazy answer to any problem is "use gibbed".

It's best to just play the game. Either solo, or with friends of (roughly) the same level.

This is a great game, it offers hundreds of hours of quality entertainment if you play it the way the developers intended. But, it is a form of ARPG. If you don't like ARPGs, then you personally might not enjoy it.

As I say, there's a fair amount of repetition.

ARPG players like the hunt. They (we) like the idea of fighting something and getting a cool shiny that's an upgrade. Because of this, upgrades tend to be incrimental, so that the reward/challenge cycle can remain viable.

A lot of people come here, and don't understand that, and ask to be powerleveled, (or use the editor) to race to the end. And I think that's a mistake on their parts. They treat the game as disposable, and blast through it in a few days.

The one caveat I'll mention, is that when people are insisting on being powerleveled, then I do point them to the editor, because I think the editor is a better solution, assuming they're not going to listen to me and actually play the game.
