Quest rewards
Hi guys. I have recently reached OP 8 and farming my siren gear. I'm aiming for the sand hawk right now, but dont want to go through too many problems while doing it. Lets say I decrease the difficulty to OP 0 and complete the neccesary quests for the sand hawk UNTIL I can turn in the quest to get the weapon itself. If I log out and increase the difficulty to OP 8 and THEN turn in the quest, would it scale up to OP 8?

What is OP 8? I've been reading about it all around. I haven't play Borderlands 2 in a long time btw.

I believe it's "Over Power"

Once you hit level 72, you can run Digistruct Peak. Everytime you successfully complete the Peak run, (and turn in the quest) you get to advance one OP level. (Which is something you set in the character selection screen).

In essence, it's levels 73 through 80. Sort of.

YOU don't gain any health. But your enemies continue to level. So at OP1, the average enemy is level 73, at OP2, they're 74, etc.

The draw is, greater challenge, and better loot.

No, it doesn't scale. You have to do the whole mission "whoops" at op8. But every mission before you can do at op0.

Accept the mission at OP8, do the mission at OP8, hand in at OP8. Them's the rules.
You do know about the read-only trick with the save file and Claptrap's stash, yes? That will get you multiple mission reward weapons if you go that route. Or do a bunch of UVHM resets and get them that way.

You just saved me LOTS of trouble. So let me get this straight.
Play until I can pick up the reward. Save and quit. Copy the savegame. Get reward. Deposit in claptraps loot stash. Insert old savefile and complete quest again. Is that what you mean?

just go to the save file and change it to "Read Only", take the gun, put in claptrap stash and reload your game. When you get the desired gun and want to continue your game, all you got to do is change back your save file to normal.

Pretty much. There is another way, especially useful when you are after something specific, like a shock Flying Sandhawk. When you get back to Scarlett, Alt-Tab out and make your save file read-only. Hand the mission in, inspect what you are offered. If you like it, accept, and fast travel to Sanctuary, put in Clappy's stash.
(If it is not to your liking - same next step )
Save and exit.

Instead of pressing continue, select the character / mode again. This will now reload the read-only file with the mission ready to hand in. (now go get another one)
Make sense?

This works because Clappy's stash info is not saved with the character file.

When you are done, Alt-Tab out and make your save file read/write again, and then carry on as normal.
