Terramorphous Safe Spot Broke?

So I managed to kill Terramorphous the other night but last night I had horrible luck I guess. Died so many times I didn't count. Had him down to a sliver and killed him while in FFYL but since he has to emerge and do his death animation apparently it didn't count and I died.

The main problem is both "safe" spots do not seem as safe as I remember. When the Boulder throwers show up you are screwed a lot of the time depending where they come up at. Ducking doesn't help in the safe spots as the boulders clip through the terrain. I don't remember having this much trouble a few years ago.

Did something change or have I been cursed?heh

I'm plenty good. Guess just bad luck for me. If the rocks didn't clip through the terrain I wouldn't have an issue. Maybe I'm too close or something, will give it another go to tonight and see how I fare.

No. Not broke. Not moved. Assuming you're using on-level gear and are at least level 50 in UVHM, I can't understand the problem killing Terra as long as you're using the right weapons on his tentacles and through the "10 Phases of Terra" himself. I think my setup is fine just bad luck with rocks.

I have a 4800x2 SMG with burst fire and it takes his health down at a decent pace with the Bee. Also have a Burning Infinity pistol for when my ammo runs out with SMG and Droog. Got a relic giving me 15% to shield and recharge rate. Using Slayer of Terramorphous class mod.

Using Gauge btw at level 50.

I have killed him a few times before solo. I just don't remember the rocks clipping like they are. Hmm I think I have a few ideas to try. Also probably wouldn't hurt if I tried farming a better Bee with higher capacity and recharge delay.

The fact that you think it's as easy as sit behind the rock and take no damage shows that you have probably never done this fight. It's obvious. Anyone here who knows how to do this can see it. But sure, claim whatever you want.

You forgot to mention your mode. You only mentioned Gaige Lvl 50 but you'd best be in UVHM or I'd forget about soloing Terra til you've entered UVHM at about 12+ levels higher than your current one.

I have killed him twice at least, almost had him last night but finishing his health in FFYL apparently doesn't count for second wind.

Check my content section and you can see some of the gear I have including my second Slayer class mod, my first one had 25% to fire damage and chance, the new one is only slightly improved at 26%.

I have found out from some research the Bee isn't best for Gauge so I am going to stack up Anarchy before the fight and slap on a better shield and see how things go. Sounds like The Hail might be worth getting as well.

The rock has never provided foolproof immunity for anyone. Ever. You claim this was once the case and that it must have changed somehow. Yeah right. Everyone who has done this using the rock knows how to use it: That you must move at times, and which way and when to move. These requirements to using the rock have never changed ever. It's that simple.

Yeah clearly I have never killed Terra solo, that is why I had 2 Slayer class mods, the newest which I just got the other night. Got lucky that night I guess as I only died a few times before killing him without rocks hitting me.

Before I beat him the other night it had been several years since I tried as I had been playing other games. Just got through the PRe-Sequel a month ago or so. Final boss there was gravy with the weapon you get from the Ghostbuster themed quest.
