Farming at Treants
Is this viable anymore? People on forums seem to get the Bee Shield fairly easily and quickly. I'm already at my second set of 99 Eridium and no shield as of yet.

Eridium stacks to 500 now, not to 99 :)

IIRC, all but 2 Treants(the first one, and the one closest to the hillside chest by the forge/armory) can drop The Bee, and they have the same drop rate as Hunter Hellquist.

It is purely up to the RNG, Random Number Generator/Goddess when it will drop though.

Darn you saw right through me, huehue. Do the Treants inside the bloody waterish pool drop them?

Are either of those the first Treant or the one on the hill by the forge? Nope! Thus, they should be able to.

Though, there is fair sized distance between those two and the rest of the Treants, so it might not be worth it due to being able to farm the main group faster. Your choice though :)

In the bloody pool and everywhere there is a treasure chest nearby. Might be just me but I got 2 bees in a single run....

Yes they do, quite often in fact, got a bee yesterday from Treeants in second area (was a fire resistant one as well) first time ive had a elemental shield from Treeants so keep trying.Actually its surplus to requirements as i already have one,you can have it if you want it (its op8)

You got a bee with some immunity on it?? I'm always getting the regular ones, with just the amp damage. I think we've picked up 7 or 8 bee shields, and all of them are just regular.....

Yeah surprised me,having been killing treeants for the badass 100 points,i aready dropped 2 standard shields so was surprised to get the fire resistant one.

Okay so after 99 Treant kills I finally got one. If there's anyone else out there farming and is about to give up and you're reading this. don't give up hope.

RNG strikes again, went to scarlett dlc to complete the hovercraft challenge for badass points, shot up the Hyperion caravan and in one of the chests was a pearl Tunguska.seriously 100 Treeants for a bee is not bad really as you get to kill 8-10 treants every time you go through the forest, only takes mins especially if the pixies help.

I actually took about an hour and a half because I was quitting and continuing only on the two in the blood pool. The other method would've been too long for me because you know, I'm a level *cough* 33. Grats on your drop though, even though I don't know what it is.

Tunguska is a Pearlescent rarity Rocket Launcher, and named after the Tunguska Event, which, IIRC, was a meteor or w/e blowing up before it landed, causing an airburst and a ton of damage to the area, in Russia IIRC. The RL works in a similar manner. Catch an enemy with the airburst, and it does about 10x the items listed Damage stat.

All treants can drop the Bee Shield and Eridium from what I read on the Wiki.

It seems that the very first one, and the one up the hill from the blacksmith (past the pumpkins), do not drop the Bee. They theoretically could, in the same way that any random enemy can drop any random legendary, but it doesn't seem to be a designated drop for them. If you think about it, the first one makes sense. If it had the same chance to drop a Bee as the other treants, it would be the fastest farm, by far. Load, run a few steps and kill that treant, check the drops, exit and reload and go again. I have no idea why that one near the blacksmith doesn't drop one. Maybe just a mistake.

Yeah never got anything off them two,the blacksmith Treeant is just mean, all you ever get is the energy orbs from him.Nearby chest can give goos relics though, have had many purples from there.
