Siren vs. Saturn advice?

I'm using a level 68 Legendary Siren, and this fight with Saturn has me scratching my head. In earlier playthroughs he was a breeze, but in UVHM I'm wondering if I'm missing something.

Phase locking damages him very slightly but doesn't trigger any of the phase lock perks, so I'm having trouble dealing much damage to him. I can avoid his attacks easily enough but am running out of ammo before killing him. This is my second trip through UVHM with Maya. On my first run through I had to resort to equipping an old level-49 Bee shield from TVHM. That isn't an option any longer since it's now 20 levels outdated and doesn't really add much damage any longer. Does anyone have any experience with Maya that can give some advice?

Short of simply obtaining another Bee, is there something anyone would suggest? I'd rather not resort to leaning on the Bee if I can help it. I'm not very experienced with Maya and suspect I'm missing something. Thanks.

You know you can run to the ammo machine to refill during the fight, right?

You need to Slag him alot, suggest Magic Missile if you can get it, then Explosive or Corrosive weapons.

Yeah, I know I can refill my ammunition. Never had to do this with any other character, which is why I'm wondering if I'm overlooking something.

Saturn is immune to Slag, I think. I tried a few Magic Missiles on him, and although they did a tiny bit of damage, they didn't slag him.

Some of the bosses become bullet sponges. With siren, I constantly run out of ammo, which is extremely annoying.

What level are you and what level is Saturn? If Saturn is more than 4 levels over you, you're probably going to need help (more players). If your from CA, you'll probably need a lot more players :) - (I grew up there).

If you can't Phaselock the enemy then skills like Wreck won't trigger.

Saturn is a bullet sponge, so take the fight slowly. Try to get him under the bridge so that if he fires his missiles they all hit the bridge. Stay back in Fyrestone, there's plenty of cover there.

Explosive and corrosive weapons are really the only thing to use against Saturn.

He is immune to slag and has no crit spots....

The best thing Ive found to use against him is the DPUH and a Moxxi weapon (i use a corrosive hail) for health gating.

saturn is a frustrating fight, i never found anything better than just whittling away from afar (in fyrestone) and buying more ammo as needed.

All you hae to do is shoot a corosive tediore e-tech smg (even though it's hard to get it works best) and take cover. Just take out his turrits first and you should be fine

Thanks for the input, everyone. I did beat him, took me awhile. I emptied my SMG, pistol, shotgun and sniper ammo, ran to the ammo machine and restocked, then went at him again. I guess I wasn't really overlooking anything after all, just had to keep slugging away at him. Kinda unfortunate that Maya's action skill is completely worthless in this particular fight, but it worked out in the end.

I'm sure the length of the fight was partially because I don't have any particularly special gear. At the moment I'm just using Green and Blue corrosive weapons I've stumbled across along the way. They were appropriately leveled and all, just didn't have a lot of punch apparently. If I do attack him again, I'll make sure to upgrade my inventory a bit beforehand to speed things along.

Saturn is really really easy,even on op8 for any char.just stand on the metal roof (corrugated iron) of the building were the chest is,just so you can see him over the top of the roof.shoot him at will as he cant hit you there even with his rockets.Bee and corrosive infinity work best,he wont come down from the roadway if you stay on the roof.he so easy i use him for collecting xp (23k for every kill)plus a good chance of a legendary or purple weapon,easiest sub boss going.
