i think assassin because his skill takes a shorter amount of time to load, like 30 seconds while the psycho takes 2 minutes unless you take damage but that also opens up the opportunity of friendly fire and a skill which injures yourself

Not until you get the last skill of the middle tree. When you invest that 1 point to the last skill of the Mania tree, your whole action skill changes and you can use it constantly. Once you get to below 33% hp, activate action skill and you get full hp with damage resistance and melee damage. When action skill is done, it is instantly cooled down, so you can use it again. Keep using it at that below 33% hp, and it practically never cools down. Of course, you have to get to level 31 before you can do that. I highly suggest using the Law and Order combo to get by the early level until you get Release the Beast, which is the skill i was just talking about

Krieg's abilities don't make a lot of sense if you just skim the trees. His skill trees are based around his ultimate (the last skill in the tree). Just gonna say this, the ultimate of the mania tree makes it so that whenever you reach low health, you can instantly rage; regaining all your health, getting a damage buff and a defense buff. You can two-shot enemies and constantly rage and NEVER DIE. This breaks the game.
Can't vouch for Zero as I haven't played him much, but I hear people complain he's weak late game.

That's not exact. With the right build Krieg can use the skill with no cooldown time as long as you activate when the health is below 33% (! next to health bar)

I have played Krieg a lot more than Zero, but from what I can see, if you want a class that can soak up a lot of damage and still pack a (ridiculous) melee punch, you should stick with Krieg. In most instances, I have found that if I manage to work in a few melee hits to an enemy, I can kill them far more efficiently than with my arms (no pun). Zero doesn't really seem to work for the stealth aspect, as enemies will still detect you regardless of line of sight. There is really no way to sneak past people without using his action skill, and they immediately zone in on you the second the timer runs out on it.

I like Krieg better, but it's up to you I suppose.

They are different, Zero is a really challenging, versatile and interesting character. He can break havoc if you are good or a sitting duck if you don't understand his mechanics. Sniper builds, pistol builds, melee builds or a mix of them.

Krieg is more straightforward and also very fun, like an express train charging enemies with Rides of the Valkyries in the gramophone.

Yes he is rather Broken and OP, but he is soo much fun. The only downside to him are flying enemies....Those dumb Surveyors are the end of Krieg

Oh, I didn't mean to imply you shouldn't play Krieg because he's broken. He's crazy fun because he's broken.
