Tresspasser farming Skookum vs Tumtum
I got a pretty good Tumtum with a Jakobs grip which has +180% crit and +15% damage.
People say Skookum is better.. how is that even possible?

The "Skookum", mdae by "Jacobs", is a good sniper rifle, non elemental of course, and it is fairly accurate. It all depends on what Lvl it is and what Lvl you are. The only drawback is that it has a horrendous recoil and it takes time to reaquire the target. It doesn't do all that much damage to shielded targets, but once the shields are down, one or two shots gets the job done. Unshielded targets, however, are gonna wind up without thier heads! I have a Lvl 72 "Skookum Skullmasher" and it is devastating to non-shielded targets.

Here are the specs:

Damage= 15563x5
Accuracy= 85.5
Fire rate= 2.6
Reload speed= 4.0
Magazine size= 9

Makes your brain hurt.
7.0x Weapon Zoom
-66% Weapon Damage

No mention of "Critical Hit" info though.

The prefix only corresponds with the accessory of the gun. For instance, on Jakobs assault rifles, faster projectile prefix is cowboy, yet more accuracy is deadshot. As far as snipers go, I am not sure what Tumtum refers to, but I do know that Skookum means slightly more damage.

The Skookum prefix increases (base) damage.
The Tumtum prefix increases critical damage.

It may depend on your character, skills, etc., but I think the theory is that higher base damage (Skookum) gives you more damage on a body shot, and also gives you extra damage when you get a critical (since that's calculated from the base damage).

I don't know if you actually get higher damage from a critical hit with a Skookum vs Tumtum. That might depend on your skills, etc.
