I'd say yes. It's crazy against Constructors and certain bosses. In mob fighting, it rarely goes over 10 for me though.
I saw a video that used a trick: you carry a low level Valdorf sniper and accumulate hunderds of stacks from some enemy (eg. loader), then you'll be good through the map.

I think it's a bug. Getting more than 1 stack immediately depletes but the last stack will slowly decay. It's impossible to get more than 6 or so stacks with a sniper rifle, more if you have a boss that just sits still, but you can get more with SMGs or pistols. This skill is the worst for sniping so it doesn't make sense that it's a sniping skill.

In a best case scenario this skill can give you about a 40% increase in critical hits and a 35% increase in damage for one hit. This is an 'ultimate' level skill.

Compare that to the mechromancer's Anarchy skill which is a level 1 skill and gives you 262% damage increase for all your attacks until you die.

You can't get stacks with SMGs or pistols, only with snipers. If you use a pimpernal properly hitting the sweet spot you can get multiple stacks of CA per shot. And it rewards you for getting critical hits which is what zer0 should be doing if he's sniping. Also compared to anarchy there is no downside to getting stacks such as a reduction in accuracy.

Even compared to Zer0's lower level skills, such as Kill confirmed (+40% constant critical hit increase, no downsides), one shot one kill (+60% damage increase on first bullet), killer (+50% critical hit damage kill skill). Headshot (+80% critical hit damage, no downsides), bore (+100% damaged on pierced shots)

compared to critical ascension which usually amounts to a +6% critical hit bonus and +5% damage bonus. Best case scenerio it helps you take down a boss.

Apologies for my mistake in the last post, after discovering how useless critical ascension I respec'd my sniper into a bloodshed assassin. I had just figured it worked with all weapons. Same goes for any mistakes in this post, I can't actually see what all these skills maxed out give anymore.

I always found CA to be icing on the cake for zer0, he's still incredibly powerful as a sniper without it. I had no problems running through the peak at op8 using only snipers. Granted there were times that I stacked CA to make it a bit easier but zer0 is strong enough with or without it. But I agree the time limit before stacks start decaying is a bit too low.

I would enjoy playing melee zer0 a lot more if melee damage scaled better into the op levels. But that's another discussion for another time.

It makes zero out damage ANY build of ANY character, zero's damage can reach up to +200% in only a few seconds of criticals, its super easy to get and keep stacks also.
