I saw a video that used a trick: you carry a low level Valdorf sniper and accumulate hunderds of stacks from some enemy (eg. loader), then you'll be good through the map.
In a best case scenario this skill can give you about a 40% increase in critical hits and a 35% increase in damage for one hit. This is an 'ultimate' level skill.
Compare that to the mechromancer's Anarchy skill which is a level 1 skill and gives you 262% damage increase for all your attacks until you die.
compared to critical ascension which usually amounts to a +6% critical hit bonus and +5% damage bonus. Best case scenerio it helps you take down a boss.
Apologies for my mistake in the last post, after discovering how useless critical ascension I respec'd my sniper into a bloodshed assassin. I had just figured it worked with all weapons. Same goes for any mistakes in this post, I can't actually see what all these skills maxed out give anymore.
I would enjoy playing melee zer0 a lot more if melee damage scaled better into the op levels. But that's another discussion for another time.
