Slow sniper movement speed when using controller?
When you are aiming down sight with a sniper rifle the movement is really slow. The enemies tend to be moving faster than you can pan around and it makes hitting moving targets frustratingly difficult. Especially the horrible rat enemies. Any reason for this?

I am using it without aim assist, and v-sync is off, any ideas?

I believe it's like that regardless of who you play or what type of gun you are using (iron sight/scope aiming is slower than "hip" aiming).

As mentioned, that's about normal. With Aim Assist, you get a red target sight where the gun is aiming, if you put the target sight on an enemy then look through the scope, it helps a lot speed wise, plus for really close enemies, you can just use the target sight.

Yeah, your aim moves slower when scoped, since it is meant to be precise. Actual moving speed is also slowed for the same reason, but 2 guns(Greed and Interfacer) don't slow you when scoped, and Axton has a skill that makes him move *faster* when aiming.

Put enough points into that skill, use one of those specific guns, and his movement speed while aiming can compare to sprinting, with none of the exhausted panting.

TC, the most I could suggest to you is to tweak your games sensitivity so that adjusting your aim when using iron sights/scopes is easier, but isn't wild and uncontrollable when you aren't aiming. Or use Mouse&Keyboard, since Mouse control for aiming is generally faster and similarly precise.

Yeah except when using a mouse in this game the movement with all guns is much faster and I can actually pan faster than the enemies move. With controller it is much slower making it difficult. My preferred weapon is a sniper and it makes it kind of annoying. I've mananged to get by for most of the game with it but it is really getting on my nerves now.

I get that scoped is slower than hip movement but when scoped with the controller it pans slower than the enemies move making it frustrating to hit them. That isn't the case when using the mouse. Only when using a controller. I've got the sensitivity on maximum and it is still slower than the enemies move. Like when trying to hit a buzzard in the air is REALLY annoying since they move faster than you can turn. This must be a software problem since like I said the mouse doesn't do this and the console versions don't have this issue.

I would use mouse and keyboard but I hate using a keyboard. I'm happy to lose the precision of the mouse if it means I don't have to use the keyboard. Hence why I used the controller in the first place and why I now how this problem since I would be fine if only the damn scope would move a little faster.
Has this ever been addressed? It's really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ annoying that sniping is seriously hindered by such a bug/feature.

Frustrating at times certainly, but unless your enemies are standing still, you still have to lead your targets as with any other game. B2's mechanics are very good imo.

A few hundred hours in CSS deathmatch will sharpen up your skills too ; )

You could try controller calibration (in the windows control panel) just to make sure your gamepad is set right.
"Sharpen up your skills too" yeah because literally taking 38 seconds to do 360 degrees can really be "sharpened up". If you don't have something smart to say don't say it. Does anyone have any info on solving/fixing this bug?

I found a way to increase the overall sensitivity/speed witch more or less solved this problem for me. Open C:\Users\(system name)\Documents\My games\Borderlands 2\WillowGame\Config. Backup the WillowInput.ini file then open the WillowInput.ini in word pad. Right up top 4th and 5th line find "LookRightScale" & "LookUpScale" mine by default were
"LookRightScale=300
LookUpScale=-250"
Change the value's of these to alter the look sensitivity. to double the speed overall set to
"LookRightScale=600
LookUpScale=-500"
This doubled my look speed using my Xbox 360 controller, scoped still slower than hip or nonscoped view but is double the speed of what it used to be. Can change it more if you like but I found this to be a happy medium.
Hope this helps
