Yeah I got really bored of grog harolding all the time with sal so I used maya but despite being great in combat she blows at raiding solo. I see her as more of a support class
Try keeping the basilisks alive througout the majority of the fight.
Avoid skills like Recompense or Chain Reaction that´ll damage the ADOD because it might get one to land you didn´t want to.
Not an easy fight but doable with some practice.
Thank you for the strategy suggestion regarding thoughtlock and the basilisks, and which skills to spec out of.
Also I've always avoided using any elemental weapons while they are in the air as I've read that doing so makes them impervious to damage for one round when they land. Is this correct?
What is the order in which they should be focused on? Is it blue (the healer), followed by purple (boost), then brood (green) and red last (as it's even more of a bullet sponge?
Blue heals the others every time it lands, so it's good to take it out first. Leaving Purple for last means the level boost does nothing, because all the other dragons are dead. It doesn't matter if Green or Red is taken out first, because their attacks are not too difficult to deal with.
I've managed to duo it with a Sal as Kreig. Pretty tough fight.
I don't understand taking out Boost last. If you kill Boost last, aren't you giving it the chance to level up the others before they are killed, making the fight that much harder as time progresses?
If you don't shoot Boost, it won't land and level up the others.
Thank you pointing this out, Mihryazd.
Again, it's all in the nuances of their behaviour. I hadn't made the connection between shooting the dragon while it is in flight causing it to land and the idea that Boost's skill is only invoked when it is on the ground. To be honest, I'd never noticed this last point during gameplay. I guess that I was too focused on staying alive while solo, or in both staying alive and healing team mates during co-op play.
No matter how long I play, I hope that eventually it will sink in.....
Thank you!
Se the elemental immunity is what got me. No wonder my shock hawk was doing zero dmg
A good order to take the dragons out, but with Maya I prefer to get Brood (green) down first, to have basilisks for Thoughtlock. It makes the fight more "relaxed" as it takes away the aggro.
You might want to keep him alive though, if you want to have the opportunitiy to spawn more basilisks.
Take out blue next and purple last, for the reasons stated in this thread.
The more Dragons you kill the easier the fight (usually) gets.
