Now Im using same char that I've gotten to lvl 51. "raced through" Torgue to get to that specific mission but it only gave me 2150 xp (or so). Switched to normal mode to see if that was it, but no. Only 1075 xp in normal mode.
Right. At level 50 or higher, you should've switched to UVHM. Though you don't say it, it sounds like you're still in NVHM/TVHM and the longer you avoid UVHM the worse your problems will become. I'd switch to UVHM asap.
In UVHM enemies always scale to your level. While you're in TVHM, you can't get any gear past level 50 barring the gold chest. Fighting high levelled enemies with level 50 gear is no fun.
^Like Mithra says^ By the time you reach lvl 53+ meeting lvl 55+ enemies in TVHM, if you're like the rest of us, you'll be toast. It';s really and truly no fun. Do what you have to do to kill the Warrior / finish TVHM asap and start in UVHM.
BUT the xp thing isnt making any sense, really.
Basically when I hit lvl 51 (or probably 50) The tier 3: rematch death race only gave 2150 xp points instead of 9777 xp. I've thought about previous answers, but it doesnt make any sense.
No, that was the game design to make sure that enemies got stronger while you didn't (besides equipments, of course).
It's all a matter of opinion cause in reality you DO get stronger via higher level arms. To me, it was a cheap marketing stunt by GBX to highlight the cartoon of bazillions of guns but actually makes no sense. If you LITERALLY couldn't level up in strength from 72 to 80, there's no way you could survive much past 74 based on the first 72 levels of gameplay in BL2 and all levels of gameplay in BL1. Other people complain about Anthony Burch's mistakes in game design for different reasons, but to me his never having played BL1 shows up as a flaw in his design of the final 8 levels in BL2. Just my opinion.
