Hardest Badass Rank Challenges?
I just finished the two hardest (for me) challenges: Slab UHF and claiming Terra's vault symbol.....YAHOOOOOO! Now I feel ready to reset my challenges. I'm wondering what were the hardest challenges for others to get?

Finally got the vault symbol at Terra's lair a few days ago after many, many tries during co-op play. I could never get the timing right for the jump onto the grate as you follow a teammate into
Terra's arena. You need to land onto the grate just as it's closing from the previous player, so that you can crouch and move closer to the symbol on the underside of the peak to claim it.

Just now I was finally able to hit the button near the top of the Slab UHF tower after climbing the structure and falling way too many times over way too many play sessions.

Has anyone else found these challenges hard? Or did others cause you fits?

I still need to finish the "I'm back...shocked?" challenge which is more frustrating than anything else, as well as two dueling and trading challenges. These latter multi-player ones I'm thinking of just leaving as it would be a pain for someone else to help with these all at once.

Crouching Tiger, Hidden Assault Rifle was extremely annoying (3200 AR kills while crouched at rank 5). Made even worse that the 5th rank was needed to unlock a skin.

Blue Sparks (kills by power slide) also took a while because I could not reliably get the game to count kills.

Yes, I forgot that one. However, it got me using the Ogre, which to this point, is still my 4th slot backup weapon during most runs for when all else fails. It's funny to me, but I still find myself crouching periodically before I shoot. Thinking about it, there are times that I'm sure that doing so has improved my survivability.

The individual weapon challenges were also good for forcing me to learn the benefits of different types and finding the best combinations of weapon, grenade, relic, and class mod. My weapon loadout vs. enemy situation repertoire is now much more varied than it was before doing challenges.

Agreed! In my case it was lack of coordination with the buttons to press. Once I started to get if figured out, I finished the 5th level. Figures.

I'm a bit frustrated and looked this up on the forum. I'm something of a completionist, but after almost an hour of jumping, the UHF tower can go !#@$!$ itself ... Jack pardon my language.

Is it 100 or even just 50 Badass points? If it's any lower than that, it just aint worth the time or effort.
I'm a fanatic completionist so un-done challenges bug me a lot. I think I've done all of them at least once, though some like the the slab tower or hidden assault rifle just feel like Gearbox trolling so I won't bother again (I rarely go back to lower levels to farm challenges so they can a long while where I usually play at OP3). I did get the Terra symbol, by accident in coop, and it was very satisfying. My partner confessed that he only did it by using gibbed to make himself super-bouncy.

Single level challenges like UHF are generally 5 ranks in the main game. Only the multi level, like killing increasing numbers of Nomads, will reach 100.

If they change it to 500 ranks I guess I'll consider it. Thanks for the info guys. Lol yntbigly, trolling indeed- I hate jumping puzzles.

Since starting this thread, I've completed the UHF jumping challenge two more times: once with the Siren after resetting my challenges and again with my first time playing the commando. Each time, although still definitely difficult to perform, the challenge became easier. There were again many falls before achieving success, but the jumps are definitely doable if you perservere and relax.

I found that the biggest tweak to my style was to lower my field of view before each jump, such that I can see the beam I'm trying to land on when I'm over it. In this way I make the "blind" part of the jump at the launch while focusing on seeing the landing. Otherwise, far too many times I would overshoot.

Still by no means a cakewalk and still one of the toughest challenges for me, I don't dread it as much as I had during my first attempts.
probably the Jimmy Jenkins one. yeah there's a chance he'll appear during the "Doctor's Orders" mission if activated, but there's no guarantee he'll always appear.

I've been pretty lucky in seeing Jimmy Jenkins while farming the preserve with that mission open. When I looked forward to completing all five levels of his challenge I thought that it would take forever. But I was pleasantly surprised that it didn't take anywhere near as long as I thought that it would - and I found some decent weapons and relics to boot.

Pretty much any challenge becomes more tedious than fun if you don't like dropping down to Normal mode. For example, today itself I tried the Blue Sparks challenge on UVHM, and surprisingly enough I couldn't get a single kill. Apparently the enemy health regen was negating any damage I dealt with the power slide.

Slab UHF and crouching tiger hidden assault rifle are exactly the reasons why I am NOT a completionist with the ranks

surprised about blue sparks being mentioned, I just luuurve power sliding, in fact I now drive sideways most of the time just because it is so funny, as long as you kill them with the side of the car, it counts

the only reason I say this was the hardest or one of the hardest, is because he tends to spawn more on Normal Mode, than he does on TVHM or UVHM. so farming him for the challenge is best done on Normal, since there's a slim chance to get a double Jimmy Jenkins spawn

I hear you and agree, although the bulk of my encounters (including two double Jimmy Jenkins over the course of a couple of weeks - how lucky is that) have been while farming the Preserve at OP8 for gear. Just looking through my screenshots I'd estimate that I encountered the little guy most often while farming the preserve at OP8 as compared to the fewer farming runs I made in TVHM. So while he no doubt spawns more frequently in normal mode and TVHM, it is possible to find him on a reasonable basis in UVHM.
