Update?

Hi guys. I just noticed that both Borderlands 2 and Pre-Sequel have received small updates, both about 1MB. Does anyone know what they are for, what changed if anything? Thoughts appreciated :)

most likely to break the hex editor. that or add ads for bl3 or wonderlands. hell maybe even both

Got the download, now my game crashes and I can't even do anything about it. Verified the files and re-downloaded one file. Still crashes. Great ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ work, Gearbox. What a bunch of hack frauds. Randy Pitchford, the biggest con-man in the history of video games.

Dunno what you're whining about, dude. Game still works for me, including all my mods, Python or otherwise.

Did the update, reapplied some of the BorderlandsHexMultitool 1.38 patches (console, bag/bank space), backed up BL2 profile directory, ran BL2 directly from its EXE with Steam running, logged in and everything thus far seemed to be good.

The Steam Patch for BL2 today did reset my some of my video settings.

Interested to find out what it was for.

Side note, on top of the BorderlandsHexMultitool I also use

*Borderlands Profile Editor v.1010-32-1-0-1-0
*Gibbed's Borderlands 2 Save Editor v1.0.46-21-1-0-46-1591048527

which edit the profile and character files directly and the changes made to those files by the profile editor and save editor at this point in time have all loaded for me in-game.

Anything crazy happens outside of the random Epic Loot Midgets I'll add what I got.

I'm whining about a thing that just happened. Downloaded the update, my graphics settings got resetted and it crashes before I reach the main menu.

By the looks of it, the only thing that's changed is that they've removed the ads for Wonderlands. There's apparently even a website listing "patch notes" that are completely false, too, which I find hilarious.

patch in pre squeal seems to have stop working. trying to apply it just brings up a error. haven't tried with bl2 yet

You should try reverting the files to an older version. Do you have a backup on?

No, I did not create any backups for this game. It's ten years old, I did not expect any updates that bork my game.

If you are getting a borderlands flashing logo before getting to the main menu you need to restart the game and then spam click to skip all the intro bs and you should load into the game.

Can confirm that the patch has broken something. Same issue as BENNI, trying to repair files and it says it repaired one. Game comes up and is stuck on a Borderlands 2 screen forever. This is on windows 11, not sure if it's related.

Edit: WhiteGuy20's fix worked here

Another edit: Game doesn't seem to let me click quit to desktop. Have to kill the game through task manager

Can't find any update notes anywhere, but the patch reset my INI files and hex edits, had to redo them and they seem to still work fine on Windows 10 21H2.

When did/do you spam click? I am on W11, and spam clicking to get to main menu didn't cause any ctd's for me.
