Mick Zaford has a pretty quality legendary, and if done right you can also farm the Hodunk legendary at the Lynchwood Train Station. Since there is a fast travel point right there you can farm up to two legendaries really easily by save-quitting. It requires you to complete the Family Feud though.
Knuckledragger against the Hyperion barge is also pretty easy to farm with the save-quit method.

Tubby/Chubby enmies (there are farming guides on youtube), all legendaries have a chance to drop from viable loot surces (the alrdy mentioned tubby/chubby enemies, bossses like the warrior and chests), otherwise specific named enemies have increased chance to drop specific legendaries, here bosses like the warrior have a larger loot pool then usual, otherwise seek for named enemies, like Savage Lee in the Marrowfield (three Horns Divide) who has a chance to drop the Unkempt Harold. Some enemies drop unique weapons the same way (which are not legendary but have special abilities).
There is a Borderlands wiki, not the best to be honest but it helps to find which enemy to farm for specfifc legendaries, among others.

Personally, I would rather farm different enemies for specific weapons rather than farm enemies e.g loot midgets, tubbies, the Warrior, that have a larger loot pool, because many legendaries are a waste of time.
In Normal and TVHM, it also depends on your level as, for example, there is little point in farming a level 2 Hornet in Normal mode. However, in UVHM, these guys are worth farming at every level: Knuckledragger for Hornet, Savage Lee for Harold, Boll for Fastball, Gettle for Lyuda, Jimbo Hodunk for the Slagga, Hunter Helliquest for Bee.
Some bosses are really not worth the effort for the casual player; for e.g. the Sham is a useful sheild but the Bunker is notoriously mean.
You could farm the Warrior for a Volcano or Conference call, but what you really want is his Eridium for Earl's Blackmarket.
Dont forget the blue weapons that are better than many legendaries, like the Lascoux.
Dont neglect chest farming, like the easy red chest at Opportuniy.
Above all, get the DLC: hours of fun and you get the Pimpernel, Sandhawk, the great farming Bosses like Pete and Hyperius, and the Tiny Tina class mods. Oh, and the Grog Nozzle

if it's for pistols, then i'll say Knuckledragger. for shotguns, a tie between Handsome Sorcerer (Conference Call) and Old Slappy (Striker)

For random legendaries: Tubby/Chubby enemies and loot midgets.
One boss with a few legends in it's pool: Warrior

Every time I go to the wiki I get blatant scam pop ups that send me too “free gift card giveaways” if I enter my personal info and they don’t let me close out, so I’ve been avoiding it.

The wiki is trash, don't use it.

Anywhere that skags, rakk, spiderants, stalkers can spawn. There are also chubby midgets and skeletons (Tina DLC). Some of the best maps for them are:

Arid Badlands
Frostburn Canyon
Wildlife Exploitation Preserve
Caustic Caverns

As Hunter says, but beware that in Normal and TVHM, Tubby Legendaries are usually gimmicky items like WTF shields and Bunny Launchers. Tubbies are truely worth farming only with DLC after level 63 for the Tiny Tina legendary class mods.
