Is Zero any good?

Zer0 takes thought and skill to play well. He can be a complete badass with someone who knows what they are doing with him.
For someone who hasn't taken the time to learn him, it will be very hard going.

Well i found in coop you cant kill anyone because once you take the time from afar to snipe, the other players have already killed everything..not to mention there is minor lag so it doesnt feel nice to snipe.

Guess i'll be playing on my own.

Zer0 is a cool character, so far i've only tried the sniping tree and is powerful (later i'm gonna try melee zero but i will need specific gear...sniper zero is doing great with pimpernel & lyuda only).

Zer0 is the strongest character in the game. The one with the highest damage output. However, he's also the character with the least survivability. So how good he is is entirely based on your skill as a player. If you can get consecutive critical hits and can avoid taking damage, he will outstrip every other character. If not, you'll get spanked by absolutely everything in the lategame.

zer0 is a glass cannon, so use shields like antagonist and blockade instead of bee to increase survivability, since your damage output is already out of the stratosphere.

As I said, i like this character, but its no good in coop. Zero is about being patient. Unfortunately in coop by the time you find the angle, set up the shot, the other players have already rushed in and shot the place up without any thought. So i've been playing in offline mode.

You don't have to snipe from far off.
If you want to do a lot of far off sniping then, yes, solo is a good choice.

That's not true. I've joined a handful of random players online who played as Zer0 in UVHM a couple of times not too long ago, and their builds and playstyles was surprisingly good enough to allow them to charge ahead of the whole group and get more kills compared to the rest of us combined. These Zer0 players basically carried the whole team, not because we were playing poorly. None of us could just keep up.

Also in coop there's some minor lag so getting those headshots are more unreliable and less satisfying.

Now why would you put up with something that crucial? Just leave and find another game session without any lag or host one yourself.

The lag in coop does hurt sniper zero, I went to melee which is the best for mobbing and for raid you can learn the figh and learn his rotations he can destroy the raid. but even sniper zero with mobbing use pimps and correct deception timings and kuni priority targest and even if you cant hit the target Kuni still contributes a massive amount to the teams DPS.

Zer0 is good, great in fact. But if you are bad then Zer0 will be bad as well.
