Resolution issue
Now i got back to playing BL2, previously stopped cause UVH 2nd dlc to reach lvl 72 is blocked in my country ( dont know why lol ) along with some other dlcs, game was running good and all.

Now i try to set it to 1080p, but it is not happening at all, it goes to 1920x1440, i set it to something else, gives another random resolution, i deleted ini files and reset everything back again, still stuck at the 1440 one.

I wish i can set it even at 720, but the thing is it never gives the resolution i want to set it at, and is unplayable if it stayed at 1920x1440 because fps goes down alot.

If anyone know how to fix it, i would appriciate that.

Shots in the dark.
Do you have an NVIDIA GPU? If so, GeForce Experience? Maybe that is setting things for you?

What is your desktop resolution set to, normally that should not be an issue, but...

i first disabled anything from Geforce experience, then i went there manually optimizing it to 1080p, still nothing happening, then desktop resolution is also set to 1080p 100% scaling icon and text, cause some games screw up scaling due to that option, but still having the same issue as i mentioned above.

I have been lucky I guess, never had that problem. May be something to do with aspect ratio?

Have you looked in geforce control panel to check what resolutions are available, not likely an issue but something to look at. Sorry, wish I had a definitive solution, but I had a brain fart. I have to go, hope you get it sorted.

not many options i have on nvidia cause it is laptop, but i know what you mean. only access of options i have is where i can set individual settings, like AA, vsync, performance, quality etc. and to set individual settings for each app, but not the resolution part.

such as these settings: http://prntscr.com/j7a5yd

I think I found a solution. What I did was I went into file explorer->This PC->Documents->My Games->Borderlands 2->WillowGame->Config->WillowEngine Then I Ctrl-F to find MinAllowableResolutionX, MinAllowableResolutionY, MaxAllowableResolutionX, MaxAllowableResolutionY. After I found those slots, which all had 0 put in, I changed them the ResolutionX ones to 1920, and the ResolutionY's to 1080. 1920x1080 is the resolution that I need the game to be in to work well. I'm pretty sure you can put your valued resolution in those slots as well. Thought this might help to whoever sees it!!

Thanks, Seeweedcat's reply solves my problem. The resolution always been set to 2048*1152 after game start, but my screen is 2560*1440. After set the 'Resolution's, problem gone.

Works perfectly worth backing up the original williw engine file before you make any changes though but it worked now playing in 1920x1080
