Did i miss something ? (Magic missile farm)

Heya.
For 2 days, after more than 80 runs in Lair of Infinite Agony, i think i've missed something.
I'm 72 (Ultimate vault hunter 2. OP 0) , and i try to get epic magic missiles (grenade mod) x4 , farming the ub-sorcerer ( even 60 runs of Dragon Keep) nothing :
8 epic fire/electric
many many blue fire /electric(3-4 /run)

1 magic missile blue.....

missing something ?

Don't know what you mean by 'epic'.

If you mean 'legendary', the MM doesn't exist as orange drop.
Only blue / purple.

Edit: Also, the blue one should be good enough. Damage doesn't matter, it's about slagging and nade regen.

A blue MM does the job, is my point. I think the purple one has more homing orbs? Not sure.

But it sure is not a strong grenade for dealing flat damage, even tho it can hurt.

I got my purple / epic Magic Missile from Murderlins Temple in Flamerock refuge after a few runs, I am not sure how high the chances are to drop it there but give it a try maybe

Purple variant will have four orbs, Blue variant will have three.

The Blue variant will do the job well enough.

Not a wow player ; just a french player and the name are a bit differents.

Blue has 2 orbs (only one drop so very low rate ?)
Purple has 4 but seems to be hard to drop.

not realy for dmg, only for the slag effect using an homing grenade.

try farming magic slaughter

Forget Murderlin unless youre an experienced player, or have a decent team. its only the Badass round that spawns Wizards. What can be done while soloing somewhat undergeared is to use the altar at the Keep. just keep sacrificing w/e you have and you should get a purple MM in like 30 min..

500 hours with Bd 2.. i think i can say i'm experienced...
btw, using altar is a solution ? thx for the info.

It's just as fan of D&D, having a "magic missile" x4 is a must to have ;)
(never done Tinytina before so discovering it.. and its new items).

yea. you can spawn Badass Wizards on the altar. i will make a bold claim and say the droprate for purple MM is as high as 30 % or even more once you get a Wizard to spawn. and it can be done while watching your favorite tv show and sipping magaritas.
