Morningstar glitch 0 damage on Voracidious

I spent 20+min building up stacks with the morningstar, I made sure it does the correct (glitched) damage on mobs, but once I go fight Voracidous I deal significantly reduced critical damage as if I had 0 stacks. The sorcerer also takes little crit damage.

So what the deal here ? Everybody online seems to say the glitch is supposed to work and has not been patched, but for me it clearly doesn't, as soon as I enter Voracidous arena I lose the morningstar effect.

Maybe someone has an explanation please ?

(on another note, this boss is just the bottom of the grave of the fun to fight, with OP-10 meta gear I can't do anything else than heal against him on OP-0 with Maya, it's ridiculously boring and uninteresting as a fight...).

Be Zer0, have sniper build, stack with CA right outside his gate. Not so boring and you can farm interfacers.

I don't have a Zer0 level 80, and since it's for the side-quest achivement I really don't feel like playing 10h with him just for 1 quest.

Btw, update: killed him with Maya on OP-0 after 10+ tries that night, no idea why it worked that time and noth the others, I did the exact same things as before.
Tried today on OP10, same things, 99% of crits do almost no damage, and randomly one will do 999999k damage and remove 50% of his HP, I shot about 2000 bullets in his mouth and I got the damage to proc 2 times, so either the crit spot of this boss is just bugged or there's some bs I just don't understand here.

Vorac has a very small crit spot. Also there is a bug with OP10 Vorac that gives him twice as much hp it he should have. OP10 Hyperius also.

The problem isn't even the amount of HP, as I said when the morningstar stacks do their job he loses about 50% of his health in a single crit, the problem is that even tho I see "CRITICAL" written multiple times above his head it doesn't do the damage it should do with the 300 morningstar stacks...

But I'm really finding this boss to be just annoying to fight, from the double nova you can't avoid (must overheal it) and the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ attacks you can't avoid it's a typical boring "Grog Nozel carry" boss fight the drags on like crazy because there's not 5sec where nothing happens for you to aim and do damage...
