Any Mods that Extend NVHM or TVHM, or turn off UVHM health regen and infinite spawning?
tldr: see title?

I've taken a few characters all the way through TVHM, but even though I've tried UVHM a couple of times (Gaige, Axton, Sal), I just found it a little too grindy.

I recently tried UVHM again with a level 50 Sal, fresh with a full-load of effervescent and legendary gear (it practically rained legendaries in Fight for Freedom), and while UVHM wasn't difficult, I had trouble with midgemong:

1. Enemies respawn really fast, so if I clear an area, even if I return a couple minutes later, everybody jumps out again. This is a good thing, I realize, because it's cannon fodder for FFYL, but it's a bit annoying. I mean, I do shower the walls with blood, and even if I hit ffyl, I've only died once or twice, I think (and that was just me being a bit stupid), so it's not about difficulty, just more that I want to get down to it and kill midgemong already.

2. I blasted midgemong down to half-health or less about four times, but then he disappears, and by the time I fight through those waves of enemies and finally find him again, he's back to full health. I swear, that place has a lot of hiding places. I know I can kill him if he'll just stay still for a minute, or if those other guys will leave me alone long enough to focus ...

So, personally, I find NVHM or TVHM more fun, but by the time I finish all the DLC, I'm so overpowered and loot is so far below my level, that my reward-addiction isn't really getting a proper fix.

So, I'll just assume the answer is:
1. no
2. git gud u noooooob
3. It's okay to stay at NVHM or TVHM if that's what you like
4. Just keep trying UVHM! It just takes getting used to! What are your build and weapons like? Maybe we can give you advice?

Yes, I know that part (I've heard all this advice before, and it's good advice, and I've listened)... but if anyone has a suggestion on mods, I'm open to it.

I'm not sure I'd use the mod anyway, as it might (like any kind of "cheat") kinda take the fun away, but I'm curious if it exists or can be done.

If you wanna try out an entirely different experience check out BL2 Reborn. I heard it changes a lot of stuff and rebalances the game, but doesn’t make it “easier”

The UCP is also an option, but it doesn’t drastically change the game, just buffing a couple of gear here and there and adding some QoL improvements

If you just want a standalone UVHM rebalance then try this mod: https://github.com/BLCM/BLCMods/tree/master/Borderlands%202%20mods/Nifsara/UVHM%20Rebalance
I’ve never used it but the changelog states a lot about it rebalancing enemy HP and slag.

Well, as far as extending TVHM, you can always go with my route: Normal - no DLCs - TVHM - 2.5 - all DLCs - then if you're still having fun with the character, change your build to revolve around slag and jump into UVHM.

I was one of the people on the Gearbox forums who absolutely hated UVHM and the direction they took the game and the developers explained it very well why they took it in the direction they did. It essentially revolved around the fact they introduced this new mechanic (slag) that they were all extremely hyped about only to find a small fraction of the playerbase actually used it reliably. Considering how easy normal and TVHM are, there really isn't a need for slag unless you're trying to speedrun through the main quests, so they forced it upon us with UVHM. I'm not the type who enjoys being forced down a specific path just to play the game, so I normally just take a character through 2.5 and the DLCs, then call it good and start a new one.

However, I do plan on taking all my old OP8 characters to OP10 just to do it, but that's a while down the road. There was rumor of a mod that reduced enemy armor/health for UVHM, but I honestly don't know what happened to that mod. I know Gearbox banned him from the official forums and he posted on here for a bit, but it was still a WIP so I didn't follow it too closely. For all I know, it's been out somewhere, but you might have to do some digging to find it (if it exists).

As for your questions...

1. Just think of them as free second chances. Keep a decent slag E-Tech on switch and maybe a decent elemental rocket launcher to get back into the fight almost instantly.

2. Slag. Slag everything. First thing you should be doing in every encounter in UVHM is slagging everything in your field of vision. Usually a high damage elemental along with slag to start the fight just to help tick Midgemong's health down as you chase him around.

Honestly if midgemong is a problem for you as sal, I dont know what to say except PEBKAC. The game and its final mode are not the problem here.
