There will probably be a guide that tells you how to stop them playing in the first place.
Startup movie elimination
go to this folder (on PC)
My Documents / My Games / Borderlands 2 / WillowGame / Config
There should be several .ini files
These are just text files so can be edited with Notepad or similar.
The one you want is WillowEngine.ini
Open this and use Edit,Find to look for bForceNoMovies=
The line will say bForceNoMovies=FALSE
Change FALSE to TRUE
That is it.
Save, and start up BL2 and check if it has worked.
This file is where you can adjust all sorts of things, if you know what you are doing. Messing around when you don't will probably break things. Be warned.
I found this guide, which may be of interest

No more annoying 2K logo. Just silence.
-----additional-----
This will remove DLC and all map movies as well. Normally when travelling to a new map, you get the map graphic before you land. Not any more it would appear.
Just discovered it by going to a map with the current character.
There is probably a way to just eliminate the start movies.
------additional additional-----
to only remove the startup movies and not affect the map and DLC stuff,
Change the following lines. Make the previous TRUE back to FALSE.
bForceNoMovies=FALSE
The lines following that will show this :
StartupMovies=2K_logo
StartupMovies=Gearbox_logo
StartupMovies=NVidia
StartupMovies=Loading
Just delete anything after the =
StartupMovies=
StartupMovies=
StartupMovies=
StartupMovies=
Save and check to se if it all works by starting BL2.
