You're looking for personal opinions about arguably the most critical armor for a playable character's build at a certain level of the game without first sharing with us your chosen playable character and at what level of the game he or she intends to take on the Tina Dragons, so it's impossible for us to respond intelligently as regards which shield maybe optimal for you. Further details you may wish to share so we may give a relevant "explanation" for our recommended shield include these most basic details: favored weapons and ancillary equipment excluding only shield and whether your intention is to solo or to coop the Tina Dragons. Normally, this enquiry will include your current build chart as a convenient method of communication with expert players. Offhand, I quite agree with my old friend Diogenes49 that the 95 pct transformer can be an exceptionally useful shield under certain circumstancess. And in general depending on your answers to my short list of character-specific enquiries above I've favored various Legendary & Cyan shields manufactured by Anshin, Bandit, Dahl, Hyperion, Maliwan, Pangolin & Tediore to be of exceptional usefulness when soloing the Tina Dragons for certain high level / overpowered players.. In general my choice of optimal shield by definition must always depend upon my choices among characters, weapons & other ancillaries, at least when soloing useful enemies like the Tina Dragons at high levels. Have fun :tga_trophy:

can you rewrite that in more of a list like?, cuz i play as zero and like using snipers sometimes and rpg and E-tech smg, pistols, assault rifles, about it for guns

Yea,. Pick your shield based on skills and comm. I make many great builds trash because I'm used to a certain shield. Um, easy mode ironically, put a Turtle shield on everyone. Stubborn to keep all your 10lvl outdated "build specific gear"? Get a Bee shield(Lvl 8 Thunderball fist worked til 22ish, but since I can't get a new drop yet, a bee shield revives my treasured trash. Keep 2-3 shields on everyone. Yes I love amp damage on sniper Zer0, but I'm not about to do natural selection annex with an amp shield nor sniper comm. My electric Gaige is not selling old Unique elec gear, so I do need a bee shield on a face tank character. Keep a few, swap if an area becomes annoying, eventually learn which shields just make your play style the easiest and most fun. Keep a healing comm for everyone, equip between fight waves, and re-evaluate how to not need healing after the next fight.

Can I? Yes. Will I? You must be kidding ::steammocking: Everything you need is clearly written for your easy consideration and it's all there. But you must take at least a small bit of responsibility for the questions you post as I've already told you and favor the community with details I've already outlined before demanding that we waste even more time on you during our weekends. You'd be surprised at the excellent free help you can get in this forum but you must join the party first and clarify the meaning of your posts by outlining the details I've clearly told you. You might even enjoy learning how to search the internet for help ~ I promise you it's all there. If you take your time to make this a new life goal ~ searching the internet for game help ~ you can do this all on your own without trying to press community members into your service ~ we don't work for you ~ we're just here for entertainment like you are and you can't continue pressing us as though we're your slaves or employees ~ that's just a silly and useless method of posting which will continue backfiring on you until you learn to show some respect for the community members' time and efforts on your behalf. Meanwhile, just try searching the internet for what you seek like all the rest of us do and you'll be fine .

There is no 'best' shield that rules over all the others.

A lot will depend on your character, playstyle and enemies. Melee Zer0 makes good use of roid shields, so Hide of Terramorphous for this one. It would not help a whole lot for sniper Zer0. Also worth considering for solo melee play is the Love Thumper. Nova damage to melee enemies, but the range of the nova means that it can also down team members in co-op.

Tanky high capacity shields like all of the Pangolins have high capacity, but terrible recharge. They reduce your health and they do slow you down. 'Best' of this lot is the Fabled Tortoise which has the highest capacity in the game, but high level ones can reduce your health below zero and you will move like you are in slow motion. Broken in the OP levels due to health reduction.

Adaptive shields give you extra health, reduced elemental damage and some provide active healing. The Evolution is the best of the lot. As with all shields you get a compromise, high damage resistance tends to come with things like slow recharge rate / longer delay / low capacity. High capacity will mean lower damage reduction. Keep killing Hyperius and check the numbers. It is one of the three seraph items he drops each kill in UVHM.
The Transformer basically gives you immunity to shock DOT. Very useful against certain enemies.

For damage, there is the Bee. Again, bad parts make for bad Bees. In general have lowish capacity, longish recharge delay, but high recharge rate. Not a defensive shield and only works when it is full. But if you want that enemy dead Right Now, sting with the Bee.

For a combined defensive-offensive shield, try the Antagonist. Reflects bullets back with up to 800% (ish) damage applied, along with slag balls.
This is a contender for overall best shield in the game. Only available from the Flamerock seraph vendor. Farming the vendor for a good one will likely be needed.

Purple rarity Tediore shields also have their uses. Very short recharge delay, very high recharge rate, but low capacity. But you can go from no shield back to full shield in < 2 seconds.

And I am done saving you research effort. Other shields are available.
