My favourite ways to level:
Opportunity - on UVHM there are frequent high ranking Loader spawns, so this method is surprisingly beneficial
Mighty Morphin' - Hammerlock gives you this side mission and it allows you to spawn Mutated Badass Varkids, which give a decent chunk of XP. The key here is not to pick up the quest items, so as not to make the mission go into a complete status.
Now someone mentioned the mutated badass varkids, that works aswell , but you also need gear to kill em, not everyone can use thoughtlock, mutate 6 pods , spam a few skyrocket grenades and get like crapload of xp . Imo isn't as good as mick in terms of xp , but surely is more fun.
The question is not how to do it, but when to do it. I wanna know when in your playthroughs you decide you should stop doing missions and go for the grind.
Now...
Someone already answered that once you complete the story (i never complete the story because i want to farm the conference call with the moonshot farm, same for the tina dlc)
and finish some dlcs (you did well keeping the scarlet dlc) , you dont have much stuff to do.
I agree with that , expecially because they raised the cap of +8 levels(so getting to max level without grinding will take forever) ... the real question i want to ask you op is this
Can you do the same farm for 15-20 levels without getting bored as hell? I hope so .
the loot doesn't hurt either.
then there's the Loot Midgets...
I believe so, yes, but why would you do that to yourself? That would be endless grinding (which you'd probably have to do on a boss), and then you'd STILL have to do TVHM anyway in order to unlock UVHM,
Same. I stopped before grabbing talon of god thinking that I might still want to grab a mission from brick/mordecai so that they are still available. No lilith though :\
Ironiically you're in one of the best areas of the game to level up, I've personally made level 30 in normal before leaving the Wildlife Exploitation Preserve which is a DLC arena.
