I haven't looked, but there may well be a mod that brings the gun back. Replacing a Patriot or something similar and making it a useful weapon again,

well the Maliwan Storm sucks ass, which is why I sell it immediately upon finding one. but yeah, the S&S Orion would rip Stalkers (possibly Voracidous too) a new one, due to how strong the x4 electrical procs really are at draining shields (and in some cases, frying enemies until their skulls pop off).

so with that said, I feel like that these are the most OP elemental sniper rifles from the original game:

S&S Orion - great for draining shields on Guardians and frying flesh-based human enemies alive

Maliwan Volcano - excellent on groups of slow-moving zombies from the "Zombie Island" DLC

Torgue Cobra - great weapon for Sniper Mordecai builds utilizing his Trespass skill, and for Explosive Brick builds
