Is it worth getting into the Borderlands series?

I played Borderlands 2 a little bit before, at my friends house. It looked cool but i'm not sure if it's worth getting.. if they are good i may get all the games, borderlands 1 + 2 + 3...

but is the game long? like really long? i only want to play the story, no side missions or anything, just main story...

i usually only like playing a story game which is like 20 hours atleast, if i keep playing after 20 total hours then i get really bored and i have to start forcing myself to play which is exhausting and also annoying then i start hating the game.

Imo if you choose to get all of them, wait for a Handsome Collection sale. They are around every couple of months for around $6. I guess you will have to pick up the others separately, though.

The Handsome Collection includes Borderlands 2 and Borderlands the Pre-Sequel with all DLC for both games. Haven't played Tales From the Borderlands yet though >.>

The Handsome collection does not include the Commander Lilith DLC you need to get to lvl 80 and OP10.

Yup. But THC is still a damn good deal.......

Borderlands 1 nailed the loot hunt, you find good guns everywhere and often. Borderlands 2 is superior to 1 in every way except the loot hunt and endgame imo. I'm not sure about Borderlands 3 but it is the only one worth playing multiplayer because of instanced loot unless you play with friends in 1 and 2. You can get through 1 and 2 in less than 20 hours just doing story missions, however you may need to do some side missions to overcome the level difference.

This game was build for long term play. I have done all the quest and I still find hidden things, like Easter eggs. Oh look, 2 rainbows...ohhhh...
If you get bored easily then I might recommend that you save your money.

Steam was not the only seller of Borderlands 2. I repurchased it here just to support the developers. I cannot recall where i Originally purchased. it. But I defintelly invested at least 100 hours in it. I will try to look that up because now I am wondering.

In my opinion you shouldnt get any borderlands based on your criteria--it takes time leveling up be able to do the harder missions not to mention bosses--which is somewhat where the enjoyment is at---in your case you'd certainly get bored too quickly
