Dahl or Hyperion Stocks?
Which stock is preferred for non-Dahl smgs and non-Dahl snipers? I understand Dahl is the most beneficial on Dahl weapons due to the extra burst count and a Hyperion stock for shotguns is the obvious choice, but I haven't been able to recognize any difference when testing the others with the guns I have. Thanks in advance. Aesthetically, I prefer Hyperion on most.

Edit: Oh, and for clarity, I gather that both provide bonuses to recoil recovery/sway, Dahl slightly reduces accuracy while increasing recoil reduction, and I believe Hyperion slightly improves accuracy. The problem is I do not understand to what degree these bonuses affect the handling of our weapons. Wondering if anyone out there has ever done any extensive testing and if this community has reached a consensus between the two. Cheers again, y'all are the best.

Dahl for Dahl weapons.
Hyperion on shotguns is a given.
What else?

On any snipers, I prefer the ones with a Dahl stock for the recoil reduction, especially if it spawned with a Jakobs grip. Jakobs stocks, while looking more traditional do increase recoil significantly. Jakobs grip and stock will give you more damage, but the recoil can make that gun almost unusable. The effective fire rate is about the same as a blue rarity Jakobs, so if you have something like a Barking Snider with Jabobs parts, its increased fire rate will be completely wasted, while you try to get back on target after each shot. Horrible, horrible combination.

My most used smg spawned with a Dahl stock and Bandit grip and works nicely (non-elemental Cutting Edge B!tch). Any slight decrease in accuracy from the Dahl stock is far less than that caused by equipping a Legendary Cat, and really will not be noticed much. A Hyperion stock will similarly make for very little difference when the Cat is in use.

actually Z00t, you'll want a Jakobs Sniper with a Hyperion Stock which not only offers the exact same Recoil Reduction as Dahl Stocks, but it also offers Faster Recoil Recovery.

the last time I used a TumTum Muckamuck, I modified it with a Hyperion Stock (but still kept the Jakobs Grip) to run some recoil tests, and i've noticed that after firing a shot, that the recoil reduction is noticeable (same goes for the Faster Recoil recovery)

Is this true for the other sniper manufacturers as well? A Hyperion stock is slightly better than Dahl? And what about smgs then? They feel identical, but surely one is better than the other when we get down to the nitty-gritty. Asking for the sake of collecting. Thanks for the insights, guys.

as Z00t already pointed out, having a Jakobs Stock on a Jakobs sniper rifle pretty much increases the recoil, instead of decreasing it.

Dahl stocks on snipers are good for the recoil reduction, but Hyperion Stocks offers both that and the Faster Recoil Recovery
