Yikes.
Why are you still here if you find it so unenjoyable because of douches like me?
Funny, I think the anger if indeed there even is any, is coming from another group and not the people you think.
If you post something on a public forum, it pretty much becomes open for comment from anyone. So it pretty much is their business. For example, you have posted your input and that is fine. I don't agree with you, but it's fine for you to post your thoughts.
Would you also say "I have a right to speak out, now shut up" ?
Come on over to the Dark Souls forums where your feelings will be hurt and there will be nothing you can do about it
Wulf Hunter: I honestly don't know what you find "cringeworthy". Can you thoughtfully take the time to explain?
Whatever did truckr or I write that caused you angst in this public forum? I actually was going to respond in answer to your original question regarding the "Bad Hair Day" mission, but then I saw your "cringe" comment in response to trukr's earlier response to you.
Yes, I was sarcastic in this. It's because I truly don't understand how so many things these days are taken that way, especially so quickly.
A person has a few choices when they hear or read something they disagree with; the first shouldn't be to internalize and immediately take offense. We seem to be living in a highly compartmentalized and grievance-based time. For this, I feel sad. Few ideas or behaviours can be said without filter, let alone criticized.
I grew up learning that if an idea cannot stand up to objective scrutiny, it is not worthy of respect.
Does criticism or sarcasm somehow = cringe? Do you find valid criticism somehow distasteful?
I actually do use the Dark Souls forums as a source of assistance. That, too, is a wonderful game. Lots of behind the scenes similarities with BL2. Yes, it may be where the stinging, well-known rebuttal "git gud" originated (?). But I highly doubt that my feelings would be hurt. Give your statement, were yours, somehow?
Or perhaps you think that some of my other comments elsewhere in this forum are worthy of your "cringe". I base what I write (as well as what I say in person) on logic and not "feels".
Here in this and the DS forums, I recognize what both games are about, that cheating helps no one in either game in the long term. In the case of BL2, shortcutting/begs/crutches actually negatively impacts public co-op for many here who don't share that mentality.
Fill your boots otherwise - but some people can't seem to grasp the connection between begs/lameplay and public co-op.
Again, why "cringe"?
Alas, my feelings have been cut to the quick. Sadness overwhelms me. I retreat to ensconce myself within my protective womb, safe from criticism and all that dare make me "cringe".
Enjoy your YouTube comments. Lol.
Wut?
