"Bad Hair Day" Bugged forever?
So, I got the quest from Hammerlock and went on to do story missions instead. I got to Sanctuary, and discovered the Fast Travel system for my first time(I didn't feel I was adequately tutorialized on them tbh). I went back to do some side missions, starting with Hammerlock's.

Once I finished the shield mission, I started looking for Bullymongs to kill. I didn't get the hair any other times I fought them because I forgot all about the mission. I got the dialogue of Claptrap and Hammerlock, but no waypoint.

I assumed just going back to the mission board at Liar's Berg would get me the Sniper Rifle. But, there is no option to interact with the board, and no Hammerlock. Obviously, Claptrap has moved on to Sanctuary.

I've searched this and oh wow, it seems that this was a bug Gearbox totally could have fixed during the game's "active" lifetime but just never did. Is there anything I can do? Any unofficial patches out there? Or is this just a completionist's nightmare?

Hammerlock has moved to a position in the corner of Moxxi's bar. You should still be able to turn in the mission but at this point the reward is somewhat irrelevant. A level 5 green sniper rifle is great when you're on your way to Flynt, but way underleveled by the time you're in Sanctuary.

I'm not worried about the reward. It's the fact that a quest is bugged and doesn't seem to have a fix. So, I can for sure turn the quest in while he is at the bar? Is the bar in Sanctuary, or further on in the game?

Moxxi's Red Light in Sanctuary. If you head to Crazy Earl's from the fast travel station and turn right you should see it. I have turned the quest in there, you should be able to as well. I think you can also turn it in at Claptrap anyway.

The board in Liars Berg is broken, Hammerlock said as much. Turn in to Hammerlock at Moxxi's in Sanctuary. The only bug in this is your not understanding that Hammerlock also went to Sanctuary, just like he said he would.

Wulf Hunter: If you are into "making garish commentary on video games now" and trukr's comment somehow triggered you to make you "cringe" (????), how ever will you deal with the cesspool that is YouTube's comment section?

Yikes.

This forums sucks. Too many angry douches who think everything is their business and requires their input.

Whiplash: If you refer, at least in part to me, I'm far from angry, honestly. I'm just perplexed at what counts as offensive these days.

Why are you still here if you find it so unenjoyable because of douches like me?

You're a lot of fun, aren't you? D'ya hire out for parties? Do you ever stop commenting this same hate on every post you read and try something else for fun? Give it a try - we get it - you don't like this forum - ok but what's it to us? That's your business & you should just solve it rather than more of these repeated attempts to inflict your pain on everyone here. Unload that nonsense, man - you really don't need it.

Funny, I think the anger if indeed there even is any, is coming from another group and not the people you think.

If you post something on a public forum, it pretty much becomes open for comment from anyone. So it pretty much is their business. For example, you have posted your input and that is fine. I don't agree with you, but it's fine for you to post your thoughts.

Would you also say "I have a right to speak out, now shut up" ?

You are the cringiest of all

Come on over to the Dark Souls forums where your feelings will be hurt and there will be nothing you can do about it

Wulf Hunter: I honestly don't know what you find "cringeworthy". Can you thoughtfully take the time to explain?

Whatever did truckr or I write that caused you angst in this public forum? I actually was going to respond in answer to your original question regarding the "Bad Hair Day" mission, but then I saw your "cringe" comment in response to trukr's earlier response to you.

Yes, I was sarcastic in this. It's because I truly don't understand how so many things these days are taken that way, especially so quickly.

A person has a few choices when they hear or read something they disagree with; the first shouldn't be to internalize and immediately take offense. We seem to be living in a highly compartmentalized and grievance-based time. For this, I feel sad. Few ideas or behaviours can be said without filter, let alone criticized.

I grew up learning that if an idea cannot stand up to objective scrutiny, it is not worthy of respect.

Does criticism or sarcasm somehow = cringe? Do you find valid criticism somehow distasteful?

I actually do use the Dark Souls forums as a source of assistance. That, too, is a wonderful game. Lots of behind the scenes similarities with BL2. Yes, it may be where the stinging, well-known rebuttal "git gud" originated (?). But I highly doubt that my feelings would be hurt. Give your statement, were yours, somehow?

Or perhaps you think that some of my other comments elsewhere in this forum are worthy of your "cringe". I base what I write (as well as what I say in person) on logic and not "feels".

Here in this and the DS forums, I recognize what both games are about, that cheating helps no one in either game in the long term. In the case of BL2, shortcutting/begs/crutches actually negatively impacts public co-op for many here who don't share that mentality.

Fill your boots otherwise - but some people can't seem to grasp the connection between begs/lameplay and public co-op.

Again, why "cringe"?

Wulf Hunter: just as I thought.

Alas, my feelings have been cut to the quick. Sadness overwhelms me. I retreat to ensconce myself within my protective womb, safe from criticism and all that dare make me "cringe".

Enjoy your YouTube comments. Lol.

Wut?
