Sanctuary also scales up with story progression, easy to keep an on-level variant.
And yes, farming early isn`t worth it and a waste of time.
Only a handful of legendaries actually stand out, lots of regular items are just as good - if not better than many of the games oranges.
You'll outlevel any farmed item at a fast rate, there's little to no scaling in NVHM (so basically no fast and reliable way to refarm gear at various levels), exessive farming will easily overlevel you and you'll natually find a boatload of loot that's more than good enough to deal with everything the game throws at you.
NVHM is very easy and damage numbers are rather small so the difference might not be as noticable but lots level 15 items are better than your level 6 Hellfire.
In the end it is your time though. If you want to spend it all on farming instead of playing and progressing through the game then nobody's going to stop you.
The unkept harold I farmed is still good at level 17. It was absolutely worth the twenty minutes it took to farm. Your post was also unhelpful and BARELY related to the main post. .
They might stretch a bit longer in NVHM just for the fact that you can kill anything there if you are skilled enough. Heck you can even pickup random guns and still beat the game. Of course a Legendary will push you a long way.
People say it's not worth to farm legendaries at NVHM or TVHM because they have a very limited life span. You can't use a lv0 Hornet at lv20. You can't use a lv12 DPUH at lv 36.
There are people who sunk hundreds, even thousands of hours into this game man. They are speaking from experieance.
Frostburn Canyon does not scale in level, any Hellfire Scorch drops will be at about the same level as the one you already have.
Gun parts are randomized per drop and different parts affect different stats.

The difference in performance from a level 6 gun at level 15+ is negligible, even if you found a min-maxed variant.
Only ways to get an upgrade are loot midgets and world drops but chances are incredibly small and you'd be farming for hours.
I've pointed you to an alternative that's very similar, the Good Touch (also a firelocked Maliwan-barreled Maliwan SMG).
It is just as good and much easier to get and keep a levelled variant.
Again, only a few are true standouts (Harold, Lyuda, B!tch, Conference Call)
There are a couple of terrible legendaries ( Madhouse, Logans Gun, Gub, half the launchers)
The majority of legendaries much more in line with regular guns (some are slightly worse some are slightly better) or more niche in usage and won't give that much of an edge in combat (Infinity, Emperor, Skullmasher, Volcano, Flakker, Veruc, Striker, Thunderballs Fist, Striker, Kerblaster, and most Tediores).
This was unhelpful and barely related to the original post.
Lord Cyphre made fantastic points, even went into it and told you what to expect in farming another one in Normal mode.
He gave explicit information on where to get it and why it's not a good idea.
The posts were super helpful and even on point, it's just that YOUR pre-formed opinions stated in the OP are wrong and just because YOU think otherwise, you call people "unhelpful" when they patiently try to explain these things in great detail.
How about this: You can possibly find a web page titled 'Imright.com', where you can pose your statement and possibly get a lot of "Yeah, right" comments.
Because that is what you obviously want. The merest deviation from YOUR option, and people busting their chops to clarify things are called unhelpful.
Good thing Steam has a block function, because I never want to be in a position where I dare to try and explain things to you when you so obviously already know everything.
You sir are the condescending one.
When you ask a specific question, and someone instead tries to subvert the question and tell you why you shouldn't be asking it, does your question get answered? No, it doesn't.
I'm sorry if it triggers you that I wanted a question answered that wasn't answered initially. (And if you look at the OP I said I was having trouble finding exact loot tables for Scorch), When he did finally answer the question I leave the post alone. Allow me to clear things up for some people.
When my original post has been answered, I let the thread die. I let it die so it doesn't stay at the front longer than it needs to. Yes, this can come off as dickish but I have a reason for it. Simply put I want to get in, get the question answered, and as I said a moment ago, let the thread die so it doesn't waste other people's time. The reason I wanted to know the best hellfire scorch could give is because I want to farm all legendaries level 12+ in NVHM, when I get to TVHM I want to farm them all (level pending), and when I get to OP8 thousands of hours in the future I want to farm all legendaries OP8. The whole deal wasn't what a better option would be and I should of made that clearer in the OP sure. But can you not understand why that'd be frustrating?
I've pinned his second post, as it was actually helpful, as the answer. Now please, for the love of god.
Let. The thread. Die.
