gibbs edittor question about level

i used gibbs editior to set a character to lvl 30 and now it seems that there is no more xp increase for that character and can not level up naturally. is this normal? does the gibbs editior stop xp gain when the level feture is used?

Did you sync your experience with Gibbed? If not, then do that. If you've done that already and it's still not working then revalidate your files.

That's not how you level yourself up,

You gotta set the XP to how much you need to level up, and you keep on changing the VALUE of your current amount of XP so you can get to the right level.

You changer your level to something you never reached on the character, you're as good as dead, nothing is saving him.

That's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. All he has to do is click sync next to his level and revalidate his files. It should be fine after that. Same thing happened to me and that's how I fixed it.

Redo it, You did not do the Exp calculation correctly, just use the exp sync button next time when you edit your level.

somethings are easier with cheat engine, some are easier with a borderlands specified tool, in this case using a charecter editor or stats editor (Like gibbed) is easier then other means like cheat engine. Only time i would use Cheat Engine over any available editor is to allow Cheats & Edits that the BL2 Sanity check would not allow otherwise like Black Rarity Weapons, 8 Player co-op, etc.

They work in a fundamentally different manner: One edits the values in a save file outside of the game. The other memory injects data values (as long as you are the host) live during a game.

You can use one to affect other peoples' save games and not the other.
