Underused Weapons: Bee-ing Greed-y

In the interest of shedding a bit of limelight from overused gear that most everyone seems to worship in this game, may I present a gun that I've used before, but never seriously, until now.

I reset my story missions to give me goals as I work through my remaining challenge list. After killing Roscoe in the Scarlett DLC, and in the spirt of my on-going pseudo-quest to find alternatives to the game's trope gear, I took another look at a long forgotten (for me) pistol, the Jacobs Greed.

Boy, I'm glad that I did. Here's the model that was dropped:

What a fun and powerful pistol. Even for Maya.

Made short work of the Leviathan which is where I first glimpsed how much fun it could be. I've been tearing through the Hammerlock DLC maps, the Wildlife Preserve, Scarlett maps, etc. now primarily using it, a slag AR or pistol, Storm, and short fuse singularities and quasars, Bee/Legendary Siren/Sheriffs Badge (yes, the Bee makes any weapon better but at risk), a Evolution/Chrono Binder/Bone of Ancients combination (fought Voraciduous as part of a group), and at times and a Rough Rider/Banshee/Chrono Binder combo. If I know I'll be meeting larger mobs I'll periodically switch to a Bone of Ancients for the shorter cooldown it brings to the table.

I rarely need my FFYL shottie. Rabids (skags and stalkers), Witch Doctors, BA savages and the like are no match: all fall to the Storm and Greed, with the pot lovingly stirred by Maya's converge, ruin, chain reaction, cloud kill and reaper.

This model packs a punch and handily has a large magazine at 18 rounds. Making good use of the game's quick aim mechanic and fast trigger pulls, even moving targets like rakks fall to the Greed. Although I know it won't be as versatile as my favourite pistols, the Hornet and Thunderball Fists, this may just find a permanent spot in my backpack. A nice Jacobs addition.

So many great and underused weapons. So few backpack slots. Still much to learn!
