Both?
you cant farm two things at one time you silly goose you
The loot Trainer is a great way to upgrade all of your gear in 1-2 kills while levelling up.
It's also a decent way of farming specific non-red text items like transfusion grenades, blue class mods or E-techs for example because you get a fixed amount of items from each category per try.
If you're after something dropping from a dedicated source however you're right. Both would be a waste of time then.
Gibbed for two uses; to reset specific missions, and to get rid of the microwave oven sight on pistols that are otherwise great, once I'm at OP8.
And the difficulty slider to farm Vermi. I find that even as a Zer0 without Moxxi weaps, I was able to get to OP8 with whatever the best transfusion I could get happened to be. I can't think of a build I use that REQUIRES a nonsourced piece of gear. So, I have gotten by using whatever is closest to what I really want, until the real deal drops. This might not be the case for other builds/characters, but it holds for anything I'm doing.
Whoops, auto correct of my phone screwed up.
I meant the loot train from Marcus Mercenary Day.
Checking drops, chests and occasionally some vending machines
usually provides decent enough gear to get you going.
If not, the train is a great source to upgrade all of your items at once without the need to farm for different items individually.
