I just reinstalled BL2 after not playing it for 2 years so I'm having to re learn everything.

people wont judge you for using it, and it makes the game a more enjoyable experience

No its not required by any means and it makes the game alot easier which I dont like but on the bright side it has autopickup on rare currency and one click purchase for ammo which is amazing and repeatable 5th dome missions.
I barely use it myself, I have dedicated characters for UCP but as I almost exlusively play 1 life characters im not allowed to play with the patch on those characters.
