Death trap is way too weak

I heard thats when Deathtrap's claw touched the skin of a girl name "Marcy" , She exploded ! But in the real game , even normal mode , he barely kill few bandit before he disapear or out of health . And in ultimate vault hunter ,he cant even surpass the health regeneration of a normal bandit ! WTF !

Meh, I think DT is just fine in normal. In UVHM DT is still an OK distraction, when they are attacking DT they are not attacking you.

Yeah, he is good as a distraction, and if you build him right.. he may even do well. I normally spec into anarchy as Gaige though.

If you reach the bottom of gaige's little big trouble tree, you can get a skill that allows DT to be elementalised(?), meaning you can give him an element by shooting him with a gun of that element, and i would say go and shoot him with slag, so he goes around slagging enemies, haven't tried this myself, but it seems like a somewhat decent way to slag enemies, and bosses too. All that's left is for them to add a skill for him to not stare at walls.

tried it , I shoot him with slag , he go out and fight , I use a electicity gun and shoot him by accident , BAM ! ,he turn into a electricity robot and I have to slag him again .

Their are a lot of videos on YouTube about deathtrap builds on OP8, I saw one a few days ago, deathtrap cleared Bar Room Blitz while Gaige was doing nothing, so Deathtrap can be pretty powerful on OP8

try community patch, I installed it yesterday and seen many skills changed (to better I'd say) regarding Deathtrap. Specially the one about supercharing it into different elements

Probably has to do with the skill that applies your own shield effects to Deathtrap, and maybe some other sinergies. I've leveled a 72 gaige (on x360) and know Deathtrap can be useful on TVHM / UVHM but with lots of experimenting on their skills.

Didn't know you could do it so good as to clean the bar room blitz XD

You can do 5x better than having a Deathtrap kill all that by himself, but you open a thread complaining it cannot surpass the health regen of a bandit, makes sense, LOL

In first run through I am not going down the Ordered Chaos tree, I just get Anarchy and work on BFF. In first run through, DT buffed does pretty good. I only find DT to be a distraction tool only in higher levels. But remember, the game is as broke as Moxxie's girly parts up there, in a sorta good way, but it's a shame they did not do something to DT and someone's little auto pop guns up there, other characters don't find their action still turn to a distracting joke, not fair waaaaaaaa, uh, yah, uh, well anyway......

Yes, some times I think DT's AI is really AAI, too much artificial there LOL
I like getting to the bottom of BFF for Caring is Sharing, there is fun to be had with calling him with fun sheilds, like Antagonist, or the LOLs of a WTF or a good Nova shield.

I THOUGHT I liked LBT, then I found over time, not so very much. My fault, I know, but I ended up with that stuff working against me or not working well. Though, some good LOLs when I reloaded too close to things and BOOM, FFYL.

have a roboteer gaige 72 0op with hot shield , bone of ancients and a small amount of anarchy got no problems here

I have 2 gaiges

level 54 skilled into DT alot and he is really doing the job on NVHM and TVHM but hes lacking a bit on UVHM, he will be better if I get the missing skillpoints

Level 47 gaige skilled into Anarchy I put the shild recharge point into DT and thats about it, but he is still a nice distraction, have not tackled UVHM yet with that build

I just soloed my roboteer gaige to op8! And DT killed at least half of the enemies. He even killed the 2 scorches and 2 of the assassins without me even realizing!! With the right gear and build he is a great companion! Even in uvhm and op-lvs!
