There are several methods for leveling fast, some of them can be done solo some are faster with a friend.
Farm the corrosive test dummy in marcus shop over and over and over. Requires an infity and a little bit of jumping and walking outside of the map in sanctuary. If you have a friend thats lvl 72 and has op8 unlocked bring him and get him to jump in there with an infinty + bee and just autofire toggle until you hit 72. This is the fastest possible way to level up.
Markus mercenary day dlc thing. Farm the Snowman boss over and over. He's very easy and you can stand at a certain spot where he can not damage you. Can easily be done solo but requires a bit of running to get to the boss.
The entire Dragon Keep DLC is GREAT for xp its always used for 1-op8 speedruns and 1-71 speedruns in general. Especially the ancient dragon bosses on TVHM.
However to efficently farm ancient dragons you will need to learn how to merge weapons and infinite ammo glitch.
if you can efficently farm a boss with similar level to you or above then that is the most efficent way.
Hope that helps if not add me and I can boost you when I got some free time.
That method is only really useful for the lvl 30-45/50 ~ lvl mark
badmaw 9-16 / tvhm and uvhm ignore
wilhelm 16-20 / tvhm and uvhm ignore
wild life 20-23 (badass stalker and loader + loot midget farm) / tvhm and uvhm u can farm here till the exp is low and u got what you need or if u get bored.
bunker (normal mode 23-30) (tvhm your level - 48 or 50) (uvhm your level - 56 or 58
after that get the morp varkid quest but dont loot the quest till u reach level 72.
If you get ♥♥♥♥ rng its gonna fly around for years until u can finish it off.
If the game is so unpleasant that you must rush through it as quickly as possible, don't play it, or if you"just want to get to the endgame content", download a save and/or use gibbed to customize a save.
That's not what he said. What he said was to just play the campaign. You'll level appropriately for the content. If you're underlevelled or having trouble, you can always do some side quests and go back. Also the game does scale to your level in TVHM upon killing the warrior. Ideally, you should be here at 48 - 50, with level appropriate gear (not 5 or 6 levels below you). You can use a level or two to farm some key pieces of equipment before entering UVHM at 50 (doing so later will make the game harder).
Honestly, the fastest and most efficient way to level is to just play the campaign. Rush it in normal mode and get out by 29 - 30. Do it again with TVHM and get out by 49 - 50. Story missions give a lot of EXP, and you get exp from killing mobs anyways. It is the most efficient and natural way. You You also won't end up with gear trouble (underlevelled and weak gear), and will actually learn your character's strengths and weaknesses. You wont have to come to the forum to beg for gear handouts, ask for builds or edit your save.
Also, you have to complete the campaign anyways to unlock the next mode anyways. Why level up doing something mindlessly repetitive, then rush through it overlevelled one-shotting everything, then worry about your underlevelled gear? That sounds highly inefficient, and incredibly boring.
Also, you know, that's basically the game (levelling and adapting your characters build around items). There's nothing to do at max level except some raids and farming perfect gear for like the extra 5 - 10 stats that you are missing, or the perfect part combo. The game LITERALLY is making a character and building it around the gear your drop while levelling. Farming is useless until end game anyways (since you'll constantly outlevel your gear)
You should already be in True Vault Hunter Mode. You're earning severely reduced exp compared to what you could be, and gear levels are capped below you.
I wasn't about to start chucking bucketfulls of clue at the roaring bonfire of cluelesness that fuzzy posted, but, well put.
It was more for the OP's benefit.
