Freezes/crashes CONSTANTLY while playing online
The game crashes/freezes in place at random moments when I play online (both when hosting or joining someone else's game), forcing me to restart my computer each time. This never happens in single player. I'm frustrated because this has never been an issue before but now it leaves the game unplayable for me as I can't play for more than a couple minutes at a time before needing to restart my computer and rejoin my friend's games.

I've seen other people mention that they have similar issues but not a SINGLE fix has been given to anyone as far as I have seen. I've searched and searched for solutions and nothing seems to work.

Literally any insight at all on this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Firstly, open a ticket with 2K support. Here : (scroll to the bottom)

http://support.2k.com/home

They do not read these forums and unless they are told that there is a problem, there is no problem as far as they are concerned.

The cause of all this trouble was Gearbox/2K forcing their new SHIFT for crossplay with Epic. It is broken and is causing a lot of problems.

There is always the option to regress to an earlier version of the game but your co-op will be limited to others who have also done so. This is going back to Steam friends co-op and (I think) matchplay.

If you run the game in windowed mode you can use the task manager to close the game without restarting your pc

Yeah, Nvidia. I've tried reinstalling drivers but haven't actually tried installing old ones yet. Might give that a shot

It's definitely not my connection. My friend has come over to my house, and used the same internet as I, and yet only I have the issues.

I'm suspicious about this because my friends have updated too yet have zero issues. I'm the only one that's constantly crashing/freezing. They have crashed/frozen once but that was in the main menu, and hasn't been an issue since.

I've sent a ticket and am waiting. I really hope they realize how big of an issue it is for some people. If regressing to an earlier version isn't too difficult I might have me and my friends do that. It would be a pain for all of us to do it if it's complicated though. Thank you

I did it, takes like 3-5 mins at most. :P I like to play with the community patch and im tired of gearbox breaking this old ass game for no reason, so im just gonna stick with the update that most people have been playing on for years without issue at this point, instead of these broken ass ad filled updates.

I never actually had any issues with crashing, i just did it for the community patch.
