Sorry if this might sound like an obvious question but i can't actually understand you can play borderlands 2 on steam with a friend that is playin' it on epic games.
I own a mac, so the only way for me to play bl2 is trough steam.
On the epic games launcher the game ain't supported for mac

yes, i linked my steam account with SHiFT , if that's what you mean

Was the Mac version updated to work with the SHiFT servers? If not, it won't support cross-platform matchmaking.

i don't know, but i received a message about accepting gearbox terms and services when entering the game on the main menu, just after i made a SHiFT account with steam.
SHiFT is from Gearbox software, so i'm really crossing my fingers here
