Location:Hunter Grotto - eridium and shrines
I had to use Eridium for something but after I gave it a short rumbled happened and I can't seem to find out what I did. I'm guessing it's a boss or something, where it it?

Those 4 shrines, about 25 eridium each, are needed if you want to spawn Dexiduous. You feed each of them and then go to the center of Hunter's Grotto - in a line from the Lodge to the initial spawn point, you will find a lever, 4 torches etc. Each shrine lights a torch and when all 4 have been lit the lever can be activated.
This will not spawn Dexi directly. It will spawn a bunch of savages, badass witchdoctors and badass savages. Several waves of them. Finish that lot off and Dexi will spawn from the area behind the shrines.
At this point run for cover and start shooting at him. Dexi has huge health and can only take damage when you shoot the white crit spots that appear in his body.
Basically a huge pain to deal with, and nothing special in the loot pool apart from the unique Chopper AR.

Dexi has the highest health of any boss in the game. At OP8, he will be level 83 and will have 1.77 Trillion health. Trillion.
According to this interesting site anyway :

He appears under drifters.

Take a friendly Hoarder Salvador with you for this fight.

Thank You.

I just came to look up about this after feeding one of those things 25 eridium without knowing what it's for. Do I have to refeed them in future visits or is it a once-and-done deal?

Yep, gotta re-feed them. They all need doing in the one game session or they reset if you save/exit. So get to know where they are then do the circle.

They will reset if you leave the map. So make sure you have the gear you need before starting to feed the shrines.

This was one of the first threads that showed up about this. I won't be touching 3 anytime soon.

That's good to know as I never left the map on this one. Be helpful to those that are a few eridium short and think they can go just get a bit more than come back.

You and me both. If I ever touch it. Seems worse every time I see it.
