Is UVHM worth it?

I recently got into TVHM with my level 40 Siren character and I have to say that it seems like just the right level of challkenge for me: Tough enemies, lots of incoming damage, but still plenty of room for more experimental/fun builds. BUt after reading about what UVHM is I have to ask: Is it worth it? It just seemsl ike arbitrary difficulty to me with not that much of a reward. I want to have fun in the game, not to break into sweat every time a Raak passes overhead. Moreover, I don't have any friends who could play it with me, so I would be going solo at it which, from what I read, is highly unadvised. Should I enter it, or no?

If you want endgame gear, yes UVHM is a must.

There are also OP levels up to level 8 that are harder than UVHM and are the endgame content.

So yes, is more than worth it, it's the route to get to endgame.

In hindsight I certainly think it was worth going into it. Originally I felt frustrated and confused on how it would be possible, then I started to learn unique drop rates, various mechanics, and ended up learning more about the game than I can explain easily.

All in all, I feel it gave me a new appreciation for the game, though I wouldn't say that UVHM as implemented is perfect by any means. Though I'm glad it exists rather than not.

For me UVHM is where the true game actually starts, so yes totaly worth it...

After you reach lvl72 you can go to location called digistruct peak. OP levels are obtained every time you finish a run on peak can be considered as levels but you don't earn skill points in this case. Just loot will become way stronger along with the enemies.

It seems like farming in this game is borderline pointless

If you farm at OP1 and get some good guns they will become obsolete at OP2 and you will have to farm again.

Until you hit the plateau and gun levels wont increase anymore I don't see much point of it.

And by that point you have beaten the game already.

So I pretty much think farming for gear is ♥♥♥♥ unless you wanna do raid runs or something.

But if you are interested in progressing in the game you will find that you shouldn't waste your time with it

Kinda is. If you can get through the OP levels quickly, all the way up to 8 (lvl 80) then it makes sense to farm weapons. Doing it solo, or taking long gaps with multiple people to level up can make it super grindy. Although its not the hardest thing to get good weapons on UVH or OP levels.
