Sounds like your gpu is not good enough to handle the 4k textures

Yeah I think the solution is to replace everything with fresh, new hardware every time a new game comes out. It's the only way to be sure. Since this came out in 2012, you're really behind.

I mean the game ready driver was written for a card that is no longer supported. That means you have to keep buying cards until something works!

I'm getting this as well on the 1060 6GB. I've tried verifying game files, reinstalling, lowering all settings, restarting everything, disabling overlays, and various characters old and new. I can't load Sanctum at all, I played through the first map but crashed on second then crashed half-way through the first.

If you do not have a page file, try creating one/enabling one.

Sometimes games expect there to be one, even if it does not use it to stuff huge amounts of data, instead it map put a texture map/file location map of sorts in there so it can readily access a list of where stuff is, without having to have that list compete for the same memory resources that the stuff it wants to access needs..

already have a pagefile. allocated 12gb of ram to it from my nvme drive. Still same issue.

I have an RTX 2080 TI -- mine doesn't crash, it just totally locks as soon as I load a game.

Are you using Physx? If so, in Nvidia Control Panel switch to "Prefer maximum performance" for power management (for Borderlands 2 profile, of course).
