How rare is the triple xxx head drop from terra?
how long can it take to get the triple xxx head for gaige?

The problem with something specific is that the Terramorphous loot pool is quite large. 6 heads. 6 skins. Hide, Heart, Blood, Teeth etc. If you just want something from it, you will get one with the usual percentage chances. Something specific though means the chances are rather lower.
It is all down to the game RNG. I have had characters that found a Hide on the initial mission. It has taken another character 50 tries to get one - RNG.
In my efforts at collecting everything collectable in the game I have farmed Terra in normal for the cosmetics. That is hundreds of kills. I am still short one skin.
You may get an XXX the first time you try or it could be a lot longer than that before one finally drops.
