Cheat Engine broke my game. Help please.

OK, I know, "you dirty cheater" "got what you deserved". I don't play online and I only used it to power level my characters. Sue me.

The Issue: Without cheat engine even running, when I fire my weapons, almost all of them (automatic weapons at least) fire off the whole magazine with one 'trigger pull'. I can't seem to find a way to disable this 'feature'.

Possible Cause: I used a cheat engine table that had unreal engine scripts and the one that broke my game in particular is one that removes the need to reload. It was a combined mod that also had unlimited ammo and no recoil, but the only persistent effect is the dumping of whole mags (and instant refilling) with one click.

Work-Arounds Attempted:I've tried running cheat engine again and checking/un-checking the script to no avail. I've verified integrity of game cache. Also tried going through the config files but found nothing. Tried creating new saves (with gibbed) to see if it was save file dependant but it seems to be engine based since it effects all my saves, new or old.

I'm stumped.

My next step was to do a full reinstall, but I'd rather not if there is an easier way to fix this.

Any help is appreciated.

I'd be more inclined to just use gibbed next time instead of CE.

Uninstall your game, then reinstall it.

THEN, if you really can't stand leveling, go download a max level save, there are plenty out there.

Then use Gibbed if you want to custom make weapons.

Stay away from CE.

I would think that if you verify the integrity of game files that it would replace modified files. I think that is faster than uninstalling and then installing.

IMO gibbed does the exact thing you were attempting only faster and with less chances of screwing something up by checking the wrong box.
The only time CE is a good idea is when youve already spent 4 hours trying to get Vermi and no Ultimates will evolve.

I have BAR disabled, but no, I didn't mod BAR.

Just download the application wemod an it has that game an has all the cheats for it an almost every single player game

Maybe delete all config files? (maybe verify game cache after that so it downloads new ones)

My advice? Don't use third party programs unless you know what you're doing.

u must delate all saves includeing u bin.. and start fresh u will miss a lot what this game offer if u use cheats
