How do you heal in this game, especially self-heal?

I have been playing a lot of Borderlands 1 because I like Brick and his self-healing/Beserking mode...Don't really want to be Psychos as I generally kill those guys.

Anyway, which is the easiest character with healing for a guy who tends to die a lot...Also, I play single player.

Off the top of my head any Moxxi gun will heal you for a percentage of damage you do from any damage type while the gun itself is equipped. A popular choice for this is the Grog Nozzle which is a quest weapon from The Beard Makes the Man, just don't turn the quest in.

If you are looking for more of a Skill Orientated healing I would say either the Siren, who's middle tree has quite a few options or the Mechromancer Gaige who in Her Anarchy tree has a Perk called Discord which would work as well.

or salvador with skill "hard to kill" in tier 1 and "Ain't Got Time to Bleed" in tier 3

In level 3 or 4 you can add a skill, that heals automatic, if weapon is reloaded

With Siren you need nurse class mod and titan class mod for salvadore also his action skill will auto restore his health, also one of the skills with siren will continually give you health.

How about Tiny Tina? I thought she was pretty cool..I want to try her Dlc, but I have trouble getting past level 5 for my characters...

No Tiny Tina is a NPC. Gaige is a vault hunter who most people run her anarchy build on which makes her guns do insane damage she also can spawn a robot to fight with her.

If you are playing Single player I would recommend running Axton or Salvador Axton because his turrets can help with crowd control and Sal because he is basically unkillable.

The Tiny Tina DLC starts at level 30 in normal mode. Go there before that, and you will die a lot.

whenever Krieg kills enemies in Buzz Axe Rampage, he has his health completely restored. and if specced into Release-the-Beast, your health is also completely restored if activating your action skill when at critical health.
