I have way less horsepower than you (2700x and gtx10600, 1080p & 60Hz monitor). I used to run capped but found that running uncapped with vsync off nets me 150 - 300fps. There is tearing in truth but the frames are so fast and smooth that you really can't perceive it. Give it a try. Maybe your hardware could do the same for the higher refresh rate you're running.

It's not your hardware (or I'm guessing your software either). Moreover if the game's stored on your SSD, you'll probably get faster loading maps / movement / FPS than most. The problem described is due to its being an older game and I'm betting your tearing like the rest of our's is so relatively minor as to be barely noticeable. None of GBX' BL series games (except TPS) is fully optimized for current series hardware / software. My hardware's similar to your's & I leave FPS untethered with vsync off & run @ about 65 to 75 on average with the occasional unbusy maps spiking up to 200 but never below 60. Good luck (y) >>> PS In a couple days on 3 April. GBX is releasing a "Remastered" version of BL2 that better supports current generation GPU's & 4K Ultra HD monitors ~ for those of us who already own the game, it'll be a free update. That may assist a bit.

i went in and changed the v sync on my gpu and it made a slight difference, i was running the game in 1440p on a 1080 monitor, i changed my desktop res to match my game and it fixed it...idk hopefully if someone else has a similar issue this helps
