How did I max all talents in all 3 tree's

Hear me out, a while back I went out with some friends and got hammered.. came home and played BL2 on my op8 commando, dont remember much. The next day I started playing and when I used my turret noticed the 3 max level tier talents (2 turrets, each with a 2nd gun, each drops a nuke on deployment) .. I was like 'wtf', checked my skill tree's and had everything maxed completely with 0 skill points remaining.. I have no idea how it happened, but I know i was playing with other ppl in matchmaking.

My PC had no recently installed/uninstalled programs.. I say that because after googling the only way I found that such a thing is possible is through a cheat engine which I did not install or use.

Just curious how in a drunken stupor I managed this.. Can't find a legit way online that doesnt involve doing anything which I know for certain I didnt do. Any idea's? sorry for the wierd post. Thx!

You joined a game where the host was running CE. He hacked your save and gave you enough skill points to max out everything.

The host can do that if he's running CE.

Some of them think they're being helpful, (because they don't grasp why anyone might not want to play in "god-mode"). Some of them just like to mess with people.

Either way, fixing it will probably take playing with the save editor.

Also, anytime you join a public game (with people you don't know) make a back up of your entire save folder first. You might also want to check your BAR, odds are that got pushed to max too.

That sounds legit.

My BAR is still around 19k so it was unaffected thankfully. Im going to assume your right due to the lack of alternatives im finding online. Appreciate the reply Nakos

try respec first i think it should bring you back to the normal ammount

If you want to get rid of the excess skill points -
Respec, but do not reallocate any points
Save and quit
reselect the character and start again
The game sanity checker will get rid of the excess points
Allocate the proper amount of skill points in your usual build.

What do you mean when you say you've "maxed all talents in all 3 trees"? Can you do us a favor and please copy your skill tree here? That'd be great if you could do that for us ~ thanks.

Normally the maximum number of "skill points" [not "talents" ~ we don't know what you mean by talents] that any player can accumulate by endgame at the game's maximum level of 80 / OP8 is in reality 72 skill points and on the skill point blank linked above its equivalent is only 67 skill points cos it automatically deducts five points but don't let that confuse you - they mean 72.

In your case assuming "talents" is a typo and you meant "skill points" your equivalent when "maxing out all ..." would be 128 or 123 skill points (not 72 or 67 skill points as usual) ~ is 128 or 123 what you got? Please advise. Thanks (y)

Will the skill calculator allow you to put in more than the normal number of points? I thought it was limited to that.

Sorry Zen, I've been playing a lot of WoW lately so the word "talents" came to mind instead of "skills".. And as Nakos pointed out, I can not replicate my skill tree in the skill calculator because it doesnt provide enough skill points for a player to max every possible skill.

Yes I have exactly 128 total skill points. Currently shown as "0 available" because all 128 are allocated, which is what i mean in saying "maxed all talents in all 3 trees"

in future just to know wen u playing online allwayes make backup of u save folder...cz what can happen they can max u everything... and kill u character

OK many thanks, your description of 128 skill points does the job for me, I didn't need to see a chart & Nakos' reminder about its limit was appreciated. So wow ... well, talk about OP lol !!
