Tips for dealing with Dukino's mom on OP6?
Title, I've been trying to level my siren to OP8 but I'm stuck on 6 rn thanks to Dukino's mom. I'm finding it next to impossible to dodge her lightning ball attacks. Does anyone have any tips or tricks for beating her?

Bee Hawking is probably your best bet with her. Just keep distance, rotate around the rocks, and don't be afraid to run if you think you're going to get hit. A longbow 0 fuse grenade and the grog will go a really long way to keeping your health up. Besides that, learning her attack timing and patterns is the only other advice I can give! I also made it through the first 4 OP levels with a level 72 sandhawk by just switching to the Grog Nozzle and shooting something to get cloudkill. Kinda crappy way to win but it keeps you above healthgate fairly easily. Get a Bone of the Ancients! It's amazing on Maya, 30-38% ele dmg for a certain type and ~40% increased cooldown rate. =) You can also try a legendary Cat. =)

you can always use this super cheesy method:
crouch behind small fence in front of elevator and keep shoting infinity/bee combo
male sure you are positioned correctly when boss uses AoE attack

No, this is incorrect.

While hard, people have killed her at the Peak using far less powerful gear and gear combinations.

Some have been able to nail down keeping the proper spacing between Dunkino's Mom and themselves while constantly backing up and circling around the rock - all the while shooting a high crit weapon at or into her mouth. Spaced properly, she won't start her lightning ball attack nor ground pound.

In the absence of this (I've not been able nail the above spacing down yet), you will definitely need a source of healing, whether Rubi or Grog. Chain Lightning also helps...or 0 fuse transfusion grenades (I use O-negs).

Key to success is to learn to circle while walking/running backwards around the rock, trying to keep it between you and DM. Learn to recognize the visual and audio signs that she is about to start lobbing her lightning balls. At that point, preemptively throw a transfusion at her, and immediately switch to your healing weapon while keeping an eye on your health bar. Once survived, continue to play peek-a-boo while shooting at her mouth. She reflects bullets otherwise.

When she does her ground pound, make sure you jump so that you are mid-air at the time of the pound. You'll avoid damage to your shield that way, especially important if you are using the Bee.

Lather, rinse, repeat.

Dukinos Mom will sometimes jump on top of the rock, something that you can anticipate. If/when this happens I try to get right at the very base of the rock she's on, directly underneath her as I throw a transfusion. If she does her ground pound there, that's the time to fire at her mouth. She'll eventually jump down and you can start the dance again.

With practice and patience, and an understanding that learning this doesn't always come the first time, you can gain the confidence to face her at the Peak without fear, without needing to resort to cheese. Confidence.

Patience, observation, and kiting are some of the most useful skills to learn in this game.

The Digistruct arena doesn't have a small fence to hide behind in front of the (non-existant) elevator.
That method can work in the Lynchwood arena, but the Digistruct arena - not really anywhere to hide from those nasty shock balls.
Maya doesn't have any way of distracting her. Unfortunately. So many runs have ended there - super agressive spawns and then she starts spamming those shock balls continuously. Nowhere to run, nowhere to hide from their AoE.
Other times, she just stomps around, occasionally 'laser shouting at you' - just keep shooting her in the mouth, job done.

Not my favourite segment of the trials.

Made it to 7, sand hawk was a good tip thanks again for that one. Almost made it to 8 but forgot the final boss reflects bullets and accidently shot myself in the face. Still we're making progress

When you do finally stand alone in OMGWTH's loot after seeing the 'Congratulations, you have achieved OP8' message - the feeling of achievement really is special.

Good luck for the next run. :orb:

I find a hail + bee works best. The Hail has life leech and will keep you above health gate while providing excellent fire rate split projectiles and a crit bonus. If you can learn how to use it right, it will make mince meat out of her.

Get a shock immune shield
any rarity would do. Equip when she starts spitting those shockballs. Reequip bee when she stops.

couldn't the Transformer shield work when she starts spitting out those shock orbs?

You'd still take health damage, eventhough your shield fills up. Fact is, the orbs deal too much damage--way more than the Transformer's max capacity. While the first orb takes you below health gate, the next will put you onto ffyl.

I use corrosive bone with corrosive lady fist. Just run circles around the boulders and unload whenever you get a free second or two. Pray to video gaming gods that she doesn't climb atop the boulders.
