[The Handsome Collection] Instant Level Boost to 72

I bought Borderlands 2 few years ago but stopped playing after my mechromancer reach level 26. Recently me and my friend purchased The Handsome Collection(My friend never play before) and tried to start it fresh, he got his characters level boosted to 72 before he met Sir Hammerlock, but my new character didn't. Has anyone face the same problem? Would you please tell me how to has the level boost?

He received a message ingame then his level got 72... No editor is used.
We have the same bundle but i didn't received the level boost...

Wait a minute. So what's your problem, exaclty?
Buying HC doesn't give you an instant lv72 boost, that means your friend either leveled his char already (doubtful) or was powerleveled by someone.

There is no max level boost by buying any kind of edition or DLC, nor a shift code that would provide such benefits. He was either powerleveled/pre-leveled or used a save editor

Your Buddy is a Cheater there is no Level Boost in a DLC LOL the only thing you can do when you Buy DLC is go Past LVL 50 that's it. he used a Save Editor called Gibbed and Cheated the game LOL Play it the right way. you'll get better weapons :p

B) played with another player who was a much higher level until his level was maxed

C) used or played a co-op where the host used cheat engine.
